Mike June 25, 2012 for Model Number GBD307PDQ3 A couple of months ago I replaced the control board. The oven started working. But now it takes about 20 to 30 minutes to heat up. I switched the heating element with the bottom and it seems a little better but still only heats to about 250 in the 6 minute pre-heat. I checked the temperature calibration and left it at 0. I also checked the cavity size and it is set at 30". Is there something else I am missing? Or is there another problem?
1 Answer Hello Mike, This sounds like the unit is only getting 120Vac instead of the 240Vac it is designed for. I would first flip the breaker off and back on. If that doesn't do it, check the connections in the junction box where the power is connected to the unit. I've seen wire nuts melt away to nothing from heat produced form a poor electrical connection. If this isn't it, it's probably a bad relay on the control board 8302967. Read More...
Greg8470 May 18, 2012 for Model Number RBD245PDB15 My whirlpool double oven RBD245PDB15 display went blank and functionality stopped, though power to oven lights remained. Replaced control board, and display now lit, but the control panel buttons "Start", "Light", "Upper Off" and "Lower Off" (all on the right side of the panel) don't beep and aren't active. Seems like the "Light" button worked with the old board. Any suggestion on what it could be would be greatly appreciated.
1 Answer Hello Greg8470. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control panel WP8300427 is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...
Otis April 23, 2012 for Model Number RBD275PDB12 I have a Whirpool RBD275PDB12 double oven, my Microcumputer (part# 4452890) is defective, can I replace it with Microcumputer (part W10244191 Rev D)?
1 Answer Otis, the electronic control W10244191 (our part number WPW10438750) does not replace or correspond the electronic control part number 8302967. We would not be able suggest that this part will work on or fit your product. Sorry about that! Read More...
Jim March 20, 2012 for Model Number rbd305pdq8 both temp displays seem to be getting dim but clock display is fine. do i need to replace the control board or the control panel assembly, or is there a simpler fix to this problem? it has gotten almost impossible to read some temps.
1 Answer Jim, The easiest check or repair would be to check the P16 connector on the back of the main control panel. Check and make sure there are no loose connections and clean both the harness connection and pins on the board with alcohol or contact cleaner. Otherwise you'll need a new control board 8302967 . All the displays recieve power on the P16 connector, and you would have an internal circuit in the board going weak. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Cathy March 19, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool GBD307PDS3 The electronic control panel went out on my double oven. Oven worked for a short time after that, but then stopped working. Can this be fixed? If so, what would I need to buy? Thanks.
1 Answer Hello Cathy. If there is power coming to the control board, and the control board does not work, you will need to replace the control board 8302967. Make sure the thermal fuse WP4451042 going to the control board is good as well. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
John February 08, 2012 for Model Number GBD307PDQ7 I need to replace the control panel on my Whirlpool double oven, model #GBD307PDQ7. The part number for the control panel is 8302967. Here's my problem: I can't disconnect the two power supply connectors off the old one (they're black with orange and gray wires going into them). All other connectors come off the control panel just fine, but these two won't budge. I'm not seeing any sort of tab that needs to be pressed on them. Am I missing something? Has anyone else had problems pulling these connectors off? I don't want to damage them, because if they break then I'm afraid I'll have to replace the whole oven. Any advice?
1 Answer John, It sounds like the P24 harness connector may have seized to the pin connector on the board. You may need to use a small flat blade screwdriver and lift or pry up on the harness connector until you get it loose enough to remove. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...

Roger January 10, 2012 for Model Number GBD307PDS7 All features of the oven has been working great for approximately eight (8) years. Then after having the oven on to bake some granola after approximately one (1) of run time I noticed smoke coming out of the upper oven, IE: the granola was burning but the temperature was only set to 170F. Even when opening the door the top element continues to glow. I also shutoff the oven by the control panel. The control panel shows that the oven is off but still the top element was on and glowing hot. I then turned off the circuit breaker and have not re-energenized the oven since. I'm guessing some sort of relay contacts are welded or stuck closed? Thanks!!
1 Answer Hello Roger. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control board 8302967 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hopwe this helps. Read More...
