For Whirlpool C.Board(Led)Ud0205 (Part Number: OEM18019326)

Bart for Model Number MAH5500BWW

Serial number A9658631ER. Pump motor burned up. Replaced motor, spliced in new connector for motor. Now I get FL when trying to start. Replaced door latch assembly, no change. Metered latch solenoid through wiring harness for the control board, wiring is OK. Looks like control board. Here are my questions: 1. Do you agree with my troubleshooting? 2. What control board part number do I need? 3. Even though I installed the door latch assembly, can I return it? Would appreciate a prompt reply. I'm getting tired of laundrymats.

Hello Bart, FL is the code for the door failing to lock. Specifically it says: Door lock monitor switch in door lock mechanism unable to communicate to the control board that the door has locked. Action to be taken: (1) Check wire connections in harness leading from machine control board to the door lock mechanism. (2) Check solenoid and door lock enable switch in the door lock mechanism. (3) Replace responsible component.

Hello Phillip. You need to check the door latch assembly on the unit. If opening and closing the door worked before, it sounds like a latch issue.

Phillip for Model Number MAH5500BWQ

Previously the washer would light up but would not go when you press start and eventually we would get it to go just by pressing off, opening/closing door in no particular order or sequence. At some point it would respond when we press start. This time there is no response. You can set the cycle to whatever you want but after you press start nothing happens, after you walk away are return when you think about it again all the lights are off. They immediately come back on when you open the door. Close it and press start and nothing happens. Please advise.

Phillip, You will want to check the start button on the touchpad to make sure that it is good and if it checks ok then most likely the issue will be with the latch assembly.

Hello Linda. Sorry, but we have no way of knowing the value of your washer. If you think the unit is worth the repair, then go for it. If not, then it may be best to replace the washer.
