This is a Whirlpool washer control board. This is the main control board behind the user interface, not to be confused with the motor control board located within the body of the washer. This part controls the main functions of the washer and toggles between different cycles. Certain functions may become unavailable intermittently when the main control board loses function. The washer may also continue to spin, not following the regular timeline of the cycle.Start the repair by pulling the control knob from the front of the washer. Pull the washer out from the wall to access the rear panel. Remove the screws from the back panel, and push back on the control panel while sliding a flat head under the right corner to release the mounting clip. Repeat this on the left side, and the central console should pull free. Release the clips for the wire harness and remove the air hose from the control board. Remove the mounting screws and pull the control board from its protective console. Reverse this process to install the new component. This product is a genuine OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer. This part is compatible with Whirlpool, Maytag, and JennAir appliances.

Hello Jon. You will need to check and see if the R-11 resistor on the control board WP22002989 is burnt. Also test the door lock switches WP22002162. Make sure they are operating correctly. NC should read closed and NO should read open. When you press the button, they should reverse. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Hello Jerry. You will need to check the pressure hose and the pressure switch and see if they are bad. If so, they will need to be replaced. Also check the drain hose and make sure it is not to far inside the drain pipe, causing the water to siphon out of the machine. If the pressure switch is bad, we will need your serial number to supply you with the correct part number. Hope this helps.

Hello Chuck. Make sure the drain hose is not to far inside the pipe and is siphoning out. If it is good, you may have a bad water valve WP22002795. Hope this helps.
