For Whirlpool Electronic Control Board (Part Number: OEM18051834)

Mark, the control used with your model will be dependent on the first two numbers of your serial number. If the first two numbers are 10 through 32, the control 12002712 would be used. The numbers 33 through 35 would use WPW10218827 (part has been discontinued by the manufacturer), and a serial number starting with 36 or higher will use the control WPW10218826.

Joe C for Model Number JDB1100AWS

My dishwasher will fill normally and begin to drain 20 seconds after filling. It will sometimes run through a cycle correctly but other times it will not. After it drains I have manually filled it with water and it will run through the cycle normally with the manually filled water. The next cycle it will repeat the problem with filling then immediately draining unless I add water to it. I replaced the drain pump which did not fix the problem. I will say there has been a lot of film buildup on the inside mainly due to it not rinsing correctly for some time.

Hello Tricia, The first thing you would want to do is turn power off and access the control panel. Once you have control panel accessed you will want to check the ribbon cable to make sure that the contacts are not corroded or damaged. If they check out ok then you would need to replace the control panel 6-919829.

Fred, You're most likely issue is the control panel/keypad assembly 6-919829. You'll need to remove the kickplate and access panel, so you can retrieve the tech data sheet. You can then conduct the tests listed and if need be, check the keypad ribbon coonnector tracers for operation with a multi meter. Thanks

Hi Tom. Access your supplied tech. sheet inside the lower kick panel. It will allow you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which should bring up a fault code. Check the temperature inside the tub, it needs to be at least 120° in all dishwashers. The heater part # W10283681 inside uses a thermostat part # WP99002633 to protect excessive amperage draw. The control board will give a code and not allow run if a fault is detected in that circuit. Use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist you in your diagnostics. Thank You.
