Ernest, You will want to access the tech sheet under the kick panel of the unit and test the keypad per the chart. If the keypad test ok then the issue will be the control board of the unit.

Phil, Your dishwasher doesn't have thermal fuses or any other type of power circuit safety device. First check should be at the junction box on the front of the dishwasher frame. remove the lower access panel, then the box cover and check the electrical connection and wire nuts to make sure they aren't loose or disconnected. Then remove the inner door liner and check the door latch switches WPW10130695 make sure they operate and open and close the circuit when the door is closed and latched. Then the issue would be in the control board or the key pad/control panel assembly. When you remove the kickplate and access panel, you should find the tech sheet attached to the back side of the panel in a plastic bag. You can then conduct the manual and or automatic test mode(s) to help determine possible other problems.

Have a problem where dishwasher will not power up. Previously was having intermittent issues over last 24 mo with lights on display all staying on at once, and not allowing to toggle into selection mode or start a cycle. Would unplug unit from service let sit and then replug unit then would would work. Right now no LEDs lit up on front panel, can't start unit. Would this be the control panel, display issue, or something else. Please advise? Thanks!

Hello Louis, You should first kill the power to the unit and remove the kick panel and open the power connection box. Check for loose or burned wire nuts. If these look good, check here for voltage. If voltage is getting there, you need to open the door panel and check the door switches WP99002751. If power is there and being passed, replace the control board WPW10226297.

Sunshine, You stated "control panel " WPW10235718 which is most likely the part you need. You need to turn the power to the dishwasher OFF before you start. You'll need to remove all the screws holding the inner door liner to the outer door assembly and separate the doors. Disconnect the wirie harness to the detergent dispenser, and slip the door latch assembly out of the panel. Remove the control board cover(one screw) and disconnect the touchpad assembly ribbon from the control board, then remove the two screws that hold the control board and box to the panel. You should then be able to remove the two screws that hold the handle to the door/control panel and, grasp the ends of the control panel and lift it up and out of the door assembly. Thanks

Chester N. for Model Number MDBH968AWS3

I have replaced the door latch recently and still do not have power to the unit. 1 or 2 lights came on but pushing the start button or any other does not start the machine. Before I order a new control board (W10169322) do you have any other ideas? Yes I have positive 110V at the machine. This machine is only 2 yrs old, and only 1 person lives in the house so it does not get alot of use. Also you have answered a previous question about the white ribbon going to the control board but what about the other end to the front panel, that does not look like it comes off?
