John T. June 11, 2014 for Model Number TC900QPDB0 My trash compactor compacted, then started banging when the ram bottomed out. I replaced the directional switch (p/n AP2916346). The compactor worked fine for about a week and then the same problem came back. Any thoughts?
1 Answer John, Recheck the top directional switch WP777811, make sure it didn't come loose or shifted after the repair . If all's OK, your issue would be in the motor centrifugal switch and the motor W10439651 will need to be replaced. Read More...
Ken February 03, 2014 for Model Number KUDS24SEWH1-F Is there any way to reset the control board on a KitchenAid dishwasher Model KUDS24SEWH1-F. It skips the first rinse cycle on the short wash setting. The normal wash setting seems to work okay. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Ken. Kill the breaker for about 30 minutes. This resets the board. If the issue continues, replace the board. Read More...
1 Answer Hello James. Make sure the hose is not clogged. Also, if not, check the drain pump for power. If it has power and does not work, replace the drain pump. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Christopher November 12, 2013 for Model Number Kenmore Model 66515831793 Dishwasher When I run the dishwasher on Normal Wash, it runs for a few minutes, jumps to 62 minutes then hangs there. Also tried another cycle and it jumped from 68 minutes to 58 minutes then started having problems. Is this indicative of a computer (control board) failure? It has been a great appliance and I would rather repair it than replace it.
1 Answer Hello Christopher. Make sure the heating element is good and the thermostat is good. If so, then the board will need to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Pat B. August 11, 2013 for Model Number GU94OSCGG2 The only cycle that works on our dishwasher is the heavy and china. I push any of the other buttons and they don't work.
Mark July 22, 2013 for Model Number KDUV 24 SEBL1 On the wash cycle, the timer seems to "hang" around the 38 minute mark, consequently, having the entire cycle last about 10 -15 minutes more than specified. Is the timer on the control board, and the entire board need to be replaced? any other possibilities for it acting like this? If it is the control board, are yours reconditioned and is there a core refund should I return my existing one?
1 Answer Mark, This issue does sound like it would be caused by the main control board but you will want to check the heating cycle to make sure that it is working properly. There are stages in which the dishwasher will pause to heat the water. There would be a water heating display showing at this point. The water temp has to rise to 140 degrees or the unit will time out and continue cycle after 25 minutes. The spot that the unit is stopping would be a water heating area. Read More...

Bryan February 21, 2012 for Model Number KUDV24SEBL5 My door keeps coming up with "door open". I'm not sure what is happening.
1 Answer Hello Bryan. First thing to check is the leveling of the unit. If it's out of level it will cause the door strike to be off and this will sometimes keep one of the door switches from closing. If unit is level, the next step is to check connection between the main control and the user interface. Before you open the door panel, turn the breaker off to the unit at the breaker box. when you access the control board, unplug and reconnect each connector to ensure and turn the breaker back on. If this doesn't correct the problem, the control WP8051136 is going to require replacement. Read More...
