Techbilly August 04, 2017 for Model Number WFW8300SW00 Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful. 3 small blue wires came out of a plug were the wires came out it says data =5v gnd ms3. how do I know which wire goes to which slot? Fred for Model Number wfw8300sw02 ANSWER Hello Fred. If the wires came out of the connector, you will need to replace the wiring harness WPW10169929.
1 Answer Techbilly, Yes this would be correct as there is no way to determine the orientation of the wires and also getting the wires back into place. Read More...
Tom February 23, 2016 for Model Number 110.46462501 My sons washer will not spin, door locks fills and pumps out, pulled motor it ohms at 6.2 on motor, the wires while plugged into the motor have 120v on them, is there a test for the electronic control board
1 Answer Tom, If there is 120 vac to the motor but it is not spinning then this would be a faulty motor. It would be recommended to check the door lock assembly to make sure that there is no issue with the door lock. Could have a bad internal part and cause the unit to not spin. Read More...

Wade May 04, 2014 for Model Number WFW8300SW00 I replaced the door switch on my unit. The door locks as normal but there is no water being added. The inlet screens are clean and the unit does have water to it. Any suggestions?
1 Answer Wade, You will want to check the pressure hose to make sure that it is not clogged. Also check voltage to the water valve to make sure that the control board is sending voltage to the water valve when the unit is supposed to call for water. If there is voltage then the valve is bad. If not then the control board would be faulty. Read More...
June K. February 15, 2014 for Model Number wfw8300swoo My washer is not spinning, we did clean all the coins and stuff out of the drain. Since its been cold the washer works great if the weather is cold but when its hot it no longer spins: Now after a few loads it does not spin or even turn in the wash cycle. Thanks
1 Answer Hello June, You will need to remove the kickpanel and pull the tech sheet. This will explain how to put the unit into the diagnostic mode. The fault codes pulled in this mode will direct you to the failure. You should unplug each connector from the main board WPW10525351 and reconnect them one at a time in case it is a connection issue. The same thing should be done on the motor control board WPW10197864. This complaint sounds like either the motor control board or the motor WPW10140579 is at fault if no poor connections are present. Read More...
Paul K January 13, 2014 for Model Number WFW8300SW01 I'm getting an F28 error. Is there a way to test the MCU AP4362572 to confirm that it is malfunctioning before I order a replacement? Additionally, do you recommend any other troubleshooting steps to help determine if there are additional parts that I should order? Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Paul. Per the manufacturer. The communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly. Possible Causes/Procedure 1. Unplug washer or disconnect power. 2. Check wire harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU). – Check connections of the CCU board within the housing. – Make sure all grounding switches are engaged. 3. Check the drive system for any worn or failed components. 4. Plug in washer or reconnect power. 5. Verify CCU operation by running a Diagnostic Test or any cycle. 6. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor. 7. Check the drive motor for powered rotations. 8. Check that the serial harness at the MCU is not mounted upside down. The wires should be to the left when facing the MCU connectors. This is the way the manufacturer tells the technician of the unit how to test the boards. Read More...
Marv September 26, 2013 for Model Number WFW8300SW02 The cntr-elec seems to make a lot of noise on the drain cycle louder when its spinning the cntr-elec also vibrates, other than the noise everything else seems to work fine.
1 Answer Marv, If the control board is vibrating then the control board would need to be replaced as it is faulty. Read More...
Kit September 19, 2013 for Model Number WFW8300SW00 Whirlpool duet washer is sporadic in lack of correct operation. Drain/spin cycle works for a short time then stops and clock counts down. Wash cycle starts normally but stops within a few minutes and again counts down eventually causing the drain pump to activate only to run continually. Rinse/spin cycle fills to excess, fails to rotate but eventually drains. Repair man recommends replacing the MCU and pressure switch. I'm hung up on the fact that when I run the diagnostic test I get error code f-33 which points to replacing the CCU. What is your suggestion?
1 Answer Hello Kit. The symptons are leading toward the pressure switch and the MCU. However, I have see the MCU and the CCU fail at the same time and need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Lamar W. January 29, 2013 for Model Number wfw8300sw00 My washer will spin sometimes and then it stops or only spins slowly and the code F-01 comes up on the screen sometimes, I have checked the belt and it appears to be fine.
1 Answer Hello Lamar, This is a failure for the CCU to communicate with the EEPROM on the CCU, (central control unit). As per the manufacturer, if dis-continuing the power to the unit for a minimum of two minutes doesn't correct the issue, there has been a relay failure on the CCU WPW10525351 and it must be replaced to restore normal operation. Charles January 06, 2013 for Model Number WFW8300SW00 We have duet sport. Put clothes in, turn on power, door locks and add garmet light comes on, will not do anything else. Will not cancel, can"t get anything to work, have to unplug and manually release door. Repeated the process several time with same result.
1 Answer Charles, The issue is most likely in the door lock assembly door switch circuit WPW10253483. The CCU WPW10525351 is not seeing the door open and close. Disconnect the DS2 connector at the CCU, and check for an "open" and "closed" circuit across the two wires as you open and close the door with a multi meter. if there is no closed circuit reading, replace the door latch assembly. If the circuitry is correct, replace the CCU. Read More...
