Hello Rich. Remove the ribbon cable from the control board and make sure it is clean and dry. If the problem presist after cleaning the ribbon cable, you will need to replace the control panel. We will need the color of your unit to supply the correct part number. Hope this helps.

Peter for Model Number KUDS01DLSS2

The dishwasher is emitting a constant pump like sound that never stops unless I open the door. Other than that everything functions properly. Even if I hit the reset it will continue. I have run diagnostics and no warnings come back. I have checked the pump drain, screen and impeller and there are no obstructions. The heater element is also working fine. I suspect the fix is a new electronic control. The only other possibility might be a deffective control panel, although this is doubtful as I have unhooked the ribbon connection and still get the sound. Any suggestions appreciated.

Brambo. for Model Number GU1500XTLS1

My dishwasher started getting stuck in the 2 min drain cycle at the start of every cycle. Then I would hit the cancel button and it would work fine. Then I went to start a new cycle two weeks later and the PANEL LOCK light is stuck on. The light will not shut off. I've tried holding the air dry button down and cutting the power to the unit. It stays locked. All the buttons work on the front and are not stuck in position. What part should I replace? The electronic control assembly or the Panel? Thanks for your time.

Hello Brambo. If the unit was going straight to the drain function, it sounds like the board is bad. However, you can test the control panel. When you press a button, you should see continuity on the pins listed for that button. If it does not read correctly, you will need to replace the control panel WP8534840. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hi Vic. Since you can manually activate the drain cycle it could very well be the control board WP8564543. The board is not sending power to the drain pump when it should during a cycle. Hope this helps!

Hello Mike. You will need to put the dishwasher in stand by mode. Then press heated dry, normal, heated dry, normal, within 6 seconds. The unit should start a cycle. Let it run through the cycle and complete. You will need to test the heater WPW10082892 and the thermal cut-off WP661566. They should read closed for continuity. If they are good, you will need to get your water hot at the sink each time before you use the dishwasher. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Jody for Model Number kudso1ilbs6

The display shows 2 dashes and the "normal" and "rinse only" lights are blinking (no other lights illuminate). The reset code Hi Temp Scrub, Energy Saver Dry, Hi Temp Scrub, Energy Saver Dry does not turn on any other indicators. I have bypassed the door latch switch(jumper) and I have bypassed the fuse(jumper) to no avail. Also I have checked the ribbon connections and everything is clean and well connected. Do you think this is this the control board or the touch Panel? How do I know if the machine in "standby"? Thanks!!! JS

1 Answer

Hello Jody. According to the manufacture, if the door latch is good and is powering pin number 8 on the board, then you will need to replace the touch pad control panel. Hope this helps.
