Tom November 26, 2020 for Model Number KitchenAid MODKESC307HWW8 I appear to have a control board problem but want to confirm before ordering a replacement. The display is hard to read at times by now after cooking in the oven for about 30 to 45 minutes the oven stops heating but the control panel appears to still work. Also the convection oven was working but the normal bake would not so not sure if the problem is with the control board or else where in the unit.
1 Answer Hello Tom, the display/control board is part WP9782455 ], the oven/power board is part WP9782437. Read More...

1 Answer Hello Bob, for the display problem you would need a new display board WP9782455, for the keypad problem the glass keypad console has ribbon harness connectors that connect to the display board, they can be checked but if worn the keypad/console ( 9782418CC) is no longer available. Frankieb September 06, 2019 for Model Number KGST307HBT9 i have a kitchenaid slide in oven model # kgst307hbt9..the control panel has been going out and then coming on sporadically..sometimes if I band on it , it will come back on but later on may go off again...it it the control panel or the microprocessor
1 Answer Frankieb, With the banging and the unit comes back on I would gain access and inspect the wiring between the power board and the display board. Also, press cancel, cancel, start and check for error codes. We will send you a tech sheet to read the codes if any are present. Definitely disconnect the harness between the boards and reconnect. If this doesn't help then your power board is most likely the issue. Read More...
Greg April 08, 2019 for Model Number KERC608LSS0 Our display goes dark but oven still works. I ordered and replaced WP9782455. I followed instructions to program new board, but after PF I did not get anything just a blank screen. I could set the clock but when set oven to bake I got F1E3 code. Nothing happens when I try to go through programming steps on installation sheet. I put the old board back on and the oven works just the display goes dark. Can you help me to know what I need to do?
1 Answer Greg, Apparently, depending on your model there is a jumper wire that needs to be in the correct place.JUMPER NO. JUMPER JUMPER BETWEEN PINS MODEL FEATURE 9754366 Red P3-1 to P3-5 Exposed bake, w/o top light. 9754371 Black P3-1 to P3-3 Hidden bake, w/o top light. George March 12, 2019 I replaced a AP6014201 Control Board because the display on the oven and stove were not working. The AP6014201 matched the old part and fit well until I connected the ribbon cables. The connectors on the old board were not identical to the new board, they would not connect. I removed the male connector from the ribbon cable on the part that had not been replaced and slid the ribbon cable into the new connector. Unfortunately the oven does not work at all. I am lost. Please help.
1 Answer George, if you could provide the model number for your appliance, it will allow for the most accurate information possible. Read More...
Roland November 11, 2018 for Model Number KERC608LSS0 The oven control does not have indication of temperature and time but the oven does work. Display does come on every so often. Decided to replace the control board WP9782455. Did the indicated programming starting: CONTROL BOARD and PF then #1 (convection broil) to 13. No 6AS or ELE did display, blank screen. The clock work and can be set. Pressed bake and 350 displayed but pressing Start I get F1:E3. Did check all connectors. Same thing did happen as above. For now have reinstalled the older control board. Waiting for your answer. Note that I live in Bermuda, no service is available here. Thank you.
1 Answer Roland, The problem will most likely be in the jumper wire depending on your model. Sending you a tech sheet, you will find your error code on pg. 3 and at the bottom of page 3 left side pay attention to where if any the jumper needs to go. This jumper will be on the display board pin 3 and should be visibly marked on the control. Read More...
Bill October 18, 2018 The ribbon connector on new Whirlpool control panel part 9782455 has is different from the connector on the control panel being replaced. The original control panel had the female connector pieces attached to the control panel and the male connection pieces attached to the ribbon cable. The new control panel looks like the male and female pieces are both connected to the control panel. Should I simply break off the old male connection pieces from the ribbon connector and insert the ribbons into the new slots and push down the locking male connection pieces? thanks
1 Answer Bill, When you removed the ribbon harness the male part of the connector also came out and it should have stayed in the connector. Remove the male piece and insert the ribbon harness into the slot and lock it down. Read More...
Reasonably Capable September 15, 2018 for Model Number KGST307HBS8 Recently while using the oven (at low temperatures, 300-350F) the oven locks itself as though during self cleaning. But the display still shows accurate temperatures during warm up and when this happens, so it seems like the temp sensor is ok. Ideas?
1 Answer Reasonably, You will want to check to make sure that the oven sensor is good as it should have a reading of 1090 ohms at room temp and 1654 at 350 degrees. If the sensor checks ok then this will be a faulty main control board. Read More...
Dave April 08, 2018 for Model Number YKGST307HW8 The unit seems to have a ghost where it will want to turn on the stove with the "Start?" displayed. Luckily the stove does not start. Also, sometimes it just shuts off sometimes all by itself. Also, there is an issue if I am using a large pot on the large front burner the control panel just shuts off completely? Thermal breaker? I am wondering if I need to replace the main control board 9782455? Thank you!!!
1 Answer Dave, Based on the information it does sound likely that the control board on the unit is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
