K Koecher January 04, 2018 for Model Number KGST307HWH9 We purchased a Superba KitchenAid slide-in gas range in 2003. Our appliance repair person said parts are no longer available for this model. The error message on the display panel is F2:E1. The gas stove top works fine, but the controls for the oven have stopped working and the clock and timer no longer function. Please tell me if the parts you list for the control panel will work for my range. Thank you so much for your help.
1 Answer K. Koecher, The part number for the control panel on the unit will be 9782418CB. The F2 e1 is a Cancel key drive bad. If the Control board is what is needed then it will be part number WP9782435. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Sydney. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship outside of the US or Puerto Rico at this time. We will need a US physical address to ship parts to. Thank you. Read More...
Bob October 08, 2017 for Model Number kesc3078hbl8 I can use the touch pad it works but no digital lights or words. You can not see what you have entered. Is it the control board or power board, part #2 or #10
1 Answer Hello Bob. It sounds like the digital board WP9782455 is bad and will need to be replaced. If the issue continues, then the power board WP9782437 will need to be replaced as well. Thank you. Read More...
Rob December 29, 2015 for Model Number Kgsc308lsso When I touch bake on oven display populates 177 degrees I normally put In temperature then hit start I get a code err which doesn't appear to be a valid error code. Oven will only go up to 177 I have unplugged a few times and can't get it to reset. Doe similar thing on convection and broil just different temp.
1 Answer Rob, You will want to check the oven sensor to make sure that the sensor is ok. The sensor should read a resistance of 1090 ohms at room temperature. If the sensor checks bad then replace it. If it checks ok then the issue will most likely be in the control board. Read More...
Jim D April 06, 2015 for Model Number kgrt607hbl9 For the last few weeks the oven on our stove turns off after 30 minutes of baking and an error code F1:E3 is displayed. This happens in either the conventional or convection mode. Nothing has been replaced on the oven other than the ignitor. Any reason why the oven would work for 30 minute (cycling properly) then trip?
1 Answer Jim, There is a jumper wire on the P3 connector in which you will want to check this connection to make sure that there is no corrosion on the pins and no loose connection. If there is not then the control board would be the issue. Read More...
K. Anderson February 11, 2015 for Model Number KGRT607HWH9 (Kitchen Aid Range w/ Convection Option) I am replacing a display control board on a Kitchen Aid range model KGRT607HWH9 (replacement board AP3176181). This oven has convection capability. The old display board on connector P3 has pins 1 and 5 jumpered and the replacement board does not come with a jumper connector. Is this the correct jumper configuration for the new board with the range model I have? As I understand it, the jumper configuration determines the handshaking between the display board controls and the micro controller, in essence telling the micro controller the range size and configuration. Could you kindly provide the jumper configuration for the P3 connector on replacement board AP3176181, which is equivalent to the mfg. part number 9782455? As I understand it, if the correct jumper configuration is not used it will generate an F1:E3 error. Thanks
1 Answer K. Anderson, If you have a exposed bake element without a top light the jumper would be between P3 pin 1 to 5. If you have a Hidden bake element with out the top light you would put the jumper between Pin 1 and 3 on the P3 connector. If you have hidden bake element with the top light there will be no jumper. The convection does not have any bearing on the jumper. Read More...
John January 25, 2015 for Model Number kgsc308lsso The beeper that tells when the temperature is reached or beeping on any other operation does not work. The stove works ok. Only the beeper does not work. What part would I need to get the beeper to work?
1 Answer John, The part that would need to be replaced for the beeper not working would be the display control board WP9782455. Read More...
Wadih October 15, 2014 for Model Number YKGSC308LS0 Display is showing an error where the time display is: F2:E1 . What does this mean. Disconnected the power, when reconnected the lock would appear for 30 sec then the error would come up.No response from any of the buttons.
1 Answer Wadih, Your range is an export model, but the error codes are identical. The F2 E1 error code indicates a problem in the keypad assembly 9782418CB " F2 E1 Cancel Key Cancel Key Invalid 1, Check glass panel connections. 2. If problem persists, replace console glass assembly. 3. If problem persists, replace display board assembly." WP9782455 Read More...
R Lopes July 28, 2014 for Model Number KESC308LSSO I have ordered the Console 9782419CB and it's ribbon cable does not fit into the redesigned Clock/Display board 9782455 behind it. Due to the ribbon cable ending in a "T" fashion, this sort of ribbon cable goes into a central accepting lock down clip. The redesigned 9782455 accepts only SIDE styled ribbon cables.Side accetping clips require the ribbon cable to be flat ended (not a T) with two holes in it appox 1/4 inch from the end , so the side clips hook into them to hold the ribbon cable. This is why some of the customers have broken their clips, because you are selling only a redesigned display board and OLD style ribbon connector on pn 9782419CB. We need help from manufacturer or please tell us how to redesign cable?
1 Answer R. Lopes, When connecting the old ribbon harness to the new control board, the connection is the same. You have to push in on the clips and lift the piece up. Slide the ribbon harness into the slot and slide the piece back down which will lock it into place using the clips. This is the way that the part was originally and still is manufactured and no design change has been made to that part of the connection. Read More...
J.K. May 14, 2014 for Model Number KGRT607HBS9 I have a KitchenAid Superba range model KGRT607HBS9 (I think made by Whirlpool based on how the parts seem to turn up). Some water was spilled on the cooktop. No problem for a day. Then, there was an error. We unplugged it, waited one minute and turned back on. Now, the error is cleared and the display lights up "control lock" but it is completely unresponsive to input (holding down 3/control lock does nothing nor any other button or combo I can find to try). Looking at the circuit board under the controls, it looks like Q6 may have an issue as there is discoloration on the board on this spot. Do I need to replace the whole control board or is it possible that some other cheaper part or magic remedy might fix this thing? Thanks!
1 Answer Hello J.K., Since the manufacturer provides no schematic of the board WP9782435, there is no way to troubleshoot or repair the board. All you can do is replace the board and check all of the connections to the board and control panel. This actually sounds like a relay sticking in the closed position. Read More...
