Sergio S. April 22, 2014 for Model Number DU800SWKU0 My washer would not turn on or start at all. Where exactly is the fuse for this washer. I already opened the front panel and removed the control board, if you can call it like that since is mechanical, the control board is part number 3373590. I still can not find the fuse within the washer or even know how it looks like. Can you help me? I want to make sure the problem is not the fuse before I order the complete control board.
1 Answer Hello Sergio, This unit has no fuse. You should, however, verify both door switches are good before ordering the timer. One door switch has to pass 120Vac to the timer and the other passes neutral to the timer. If either one isn't closing properly, the unit can not operate. Read More...
Noel April 07, 2014 for Model Number Whirlpool DU945PWPS0 The detergent dispenser is not working. I took the panel off the dishwasher and do not see anything wrong with it. I did notice that it does not have any electronic component connected to the dispenser that would cause it to open. Am I missing something? How does the detergent dispenser works without being connected to an electronic system?
Von R March 10, 2014 My whirlpool dishwasher won't come on. The light for "normal cycle" comes on but the start light won't come on and it won't run. I have replaced the thermal ruse and harness but it still won't come on. Any suggestions?
John M August 14, 2013 for Model Number DU930PWST0 I ordered the door switch kit yesterday but when I tried to remove the old switches I could not figure out how to get it out of the lever latch and bolt latch. Do you have any instruction to get that off?
1 Answer Hello John. If you remove the inner door liner ot of the unit, you casn remove the bolt. Once removed, you release the tabs securing the switches into the unit. Read More...
Richard P June 25, 2013 for Model Number du930pwss0 Hello, I'm looking at the door switch, and when the handle is not depressed I get a reading of 0 ohms, when it it depressed I get a reading of .5 ohms. Not sure what numbers I should be looking for. Is this a "failed" unit? Also, both switches are giving me the .5 ohm and 0 ohm reading. Thanks
1 Answer Richard, If you take the latch assembly and push it onto the strike, like in a situation where the door is closed on both switches it should read closed. If the latch is not in position as the door being open then the switches would be open. If you get an open circuit when the latch is closed then the switches are bad. Read More...
Andre R February 27, 2013 for Model Number Dul140ppq2 My dish washer won't latch and the power won't come on when I do get it to latch. What could the problem be.?
1 Answer Andre, It sounds like you may have a bad door latch assembly. The door should latch easily. Check to make sure that the strike is meeting up with the door latch properly. If not then it may be that the strike is not making good contact with the latch to activate switches. Read More...
Dan December 22, 2012 for Model Number KUDS25SH Hi, the child lock light blinks 3 times. I turned off the circuit breaker and tried to reset the dishwasher. Nothing works....will I need to order a complete door panel for 150.00?
1 Answer Hello Dan, The child lock blinking indicates that more than 1 of the keypads is stuck. You can check your connection of the ribbon cable to the control board. If the connection looks good with no corrosion or bad connection then you will need to replace the keypad. Read More...
Trey October 30, 2012 for Model Number Whirlpool Dishwasher DU840SWLQ0 2 Questions: First- I can't find this model# on the Whirlpool site, Google or your site as a correct model #. Second- The washing machine is running a full cycle but the door is not opening to release the soap. I pulled the door handle switches and there is a little discoloring on the metal connectors but nothing extreme. Do you think it's the switches or the timer? I have the part number for the switches but what is the part number for the timer if that's what you think it is? Thanks
1 Answer Trey, Since your dishwasher detergent and rinse dispenser are a "mechanical" operation, you'll need to dismantle the door assembly and control panel and check the timer, timer cam and cam follower. We'll send you some "basic" information for your model number that you supplied,it should be helpful. Read More...
