Greg Luze March 13, 2021 for Model Number KUDR24SEBL5 The door does not open. The latch release does not open the door. None of the videos you have on repairing the door latch match my current model. I'm not even sure what part to order. This is an old model. Do you even support it with parts anymore? Thanks
1 Answer Greg, This issue would have to do with the door latch assembly, which is part number WP3380654 but has been discontinued by the manufacturer with no suitable replacement available. Read More...
Ray September 28, 2019 for Model Number KUDC25CHSS1 When door is closed the normal, short wash, light China lights are on and dim. Washer will not start. If I play with handle moving it up and down lights go off and on and sometimes water will start. Is door switch the problem?
1 Answer Ray, the latch strike 9742722 (no longer available from the manufacturer) should be inspected for any excessive upwards bends, corrected as necessary. From there, the door switch would need to be inspected for any loose connections, broken brackets, and then the most likely issue would be a loose plunger on the microswitches 4318273 in the latch assembly. Bill March 23, 2019 for Model Number DU930PWSB0 My dishwasher started on a selected delay setting to run overnight but quit somewhere in mid-cycle leaving a full tub and all buttons on the control panel unresponsive also none will light. I checked the power source and verified proper voltage and ground connection .I would like to check power to the micro switch terminal. What color is the incoming power terminal at the door switch ? I would like to test this hot. Also I would like to prove out the micro switches ( power turned off of course ) for function and continuity are they NO or NC ? I would like to test them before ordering a switch replacement kit from you. Thank you very much for your help. Bill Johnni
1 Answer Bill, You will want to check the thermal fuse on the unit to make sure that the fuse has continuity. If there is continuity then check to make sure that the door switches have continuity. These are normally open door switches and when you push the button then it will show continuity. Read More...
Sue January 29, 2019 for Model Number Kenmore 66513593k600 I close the dishwasher and select normal or other wash options. Buttons light up but start button doesn't work. Is it the latch or latch and wires
1 Answer Sue, I can send you a tech sheet and you can test the key switch resistance to see if the control panel is good. If it tests good then the main control needs replaced. Read More...
Charles S March 20, 2018 for Model Number RUD-4000MQ0 When I close my Dishwasher Door it is not closing and locking nor starting. Is this a switch problem. Does the switch control the locking of the door to the latch. My handle is fully position upward into the body of the outer panel. The Door lever, latch, nor bolt don't seem to have any broken parts upon inspection.
1 Answer Charles, For the unit to not latch then this issue will most likely be caused by a faulty bolt latch WP3380854. Read More...
Robert December 19, 2016 for Model Number DU915PWKQ0 (undercounter) Unit stopped during rinse cycle, lights on control panel are working.Indicate part's required to repair this once great machine, I am getting dishpan hands. Thank You, Robert.
1 Answer Robert, First check to make sure the selector buttons are properly pressed and locked in place. Check the fill valve and float assembly, the valve could be "dropping out" after the initial fill cycle. If all's OK, replace the timer WP8535371. Read More...
Lee November 06, 2016 for Model Number IUD4000RQ1 Dishwasher fills with water and the dial rotates thru the cycles but the cycles don't happen. When the dial has rotated completely around the dishwasher is still full of water. What could be causing this?
1 Answer Hello Lee. You will need to check the unit for clogs. If it is clear, then the drain pump WPW10247394 may be bad and need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Carolann October 25, 2016 for Model Number DU920PFGQ2 Won't start. When I close the door the "drying" and "air dry" indicators light up. Logically, it would seem that this rules out a fault with the door switch? Machine does not start, and the other controls won't work, for example if I press the "high temp" option button, it does not light, the "air dry" light remains lit. The fact that I have any lights at all rules out the thermal switch as well, correct? Is it the control panel?
1 Answer Carol Ann, This issue would most likely be caused by a faulty control panel which is part number WP8051702. Read More...
David March 11, 2016 for Model Number 66515838791 My dishwasher died halfway through a wash. That was the last time my dishwasher worked. I checked the thermal fuse and the door switches - even ordered a new set of door switches in case bad contact was being made. I even ordered a replacement control board (one of the interchangeable ones) from ebay and nothing. I don't know what else to troubleshoot before I chuck it. Any help is appreciated.
1 Answer Hello David. It sounds like the thermal fuse 675813 is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. If not, then the only thing left is to trace the power and see where your losing it at. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Ken March 02, 2016 for Model Number KUDS25SHBS1 When we close our dishwasher door the washer starts on its own without pressing any buttons. Once running it seems to run much longer. Is this the control panel or the door switch or something else. HELP! Thanks
1 Answer Hello Ken. The part your needing W10757838 has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer and we don't know of any source or replacement for the part. Read More...
