Rich July 24, 2013 for Model Number LG DLE2101W My dryer was tripping the circuit breaker after only a few minutes. After some research, I replaced the motor and now it will for a full cycle, but something smells like it is burning. It had the smell before I change the motor but the dryer never stayed on long enough for me to find anything. The dryer is 3 yrs old and I have cleaned all traces of lint when I had it apart. Any ideas?
2 Answers Hello Rich. Make sure the drum is not to tight and causing the issue. Also, check all rollers and make sure they are turning freely. Read More...

David May 28, 2013 for Model Number pye2300ayw My dryer spins but there is no heat. I cleaned out the vent but still wont work. Do I need a new heating element?
1 Answer Hello David. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter MA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Johnny B November 21, 2012 My dryer is taking two cycles to dry the clothes. I have cleaned out the exhaust line and the lint trap but it still takes longer particularly on heavier clothes such as towels. The element is heating. Could it be the element still or something else. I measured across the element and it seems to be good. It measures around 13 ohms. Any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Johnny, Based on the information provided it may be the cycling thermostat or high limit that may be causing problem. Check your blower wheel as well to make sure that there is not heavy lint build up on the wheel. Read More...
Dee Dee October 28, 2012 for Model Number PYET344AYW Hi.. Last week I was drying clothes. The timer got to 20 minutes and never shut off. Today the same but was heating. So I moved it away from the wall and let it run to see if it was lint build up. After moving back in place I noticed that it was not heating. I looked inside the coils and there was a black piece of placstic in the coils and about an inch of coils that had broken off. Can this all be one problem and it is the heating eliment and or do i need to replace both , heating eliment and timer? Thanks.. Dee Dee
1 Answer Hello Dee Dee. You will need to replace the heating element LA-1044 to see if the timer is going to work properly. There is no way to test without the heater working properly. Read More...
Dan October 08, 2012 for Model Number pye2300ayw dryer over heats no matter what heat range selected very, very hot.
1 Answer Hi Dan, check for a restricted vent. The vent gets clogged or restricted with lint and will not let air flow causing the dryer to get hotter. If this continues long enough you will eventually trip a thermal fuse which will kill the power to the element and you will have no heat. Here's a link about dryer issues. Hope this helps! http://www.appliancepartspros.com/repair-help/dryer-repair-help.html#electric Read More...

1 Answer Rogelio, Try this. disconnect the exhaust vent pipe from the back of the dryer, make sure the lint filter is clean, and dry a small load of laundry. If the dryer workd properly, it indicates an issue in the exhaust vent system, and you'll need to check and clean the pipes and hood. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
