The Dryer Heating Element Kit is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool dryers. This kit is essential for the dryer's ability to generate hot air needed to efficiently dry clothes. The heating element works by converting electrical energy into heat, which is then circulated throughout the dryer drum to evaporate moisture from the laundry.

Over time, the heating element can burn out or become damaged, leading to a significant decrease in drying efficiency or the dryer not producing any heat at all.

Symptoms of a bad Dryer Heating Element Kit include:

  • Clothes taking longer to dry or not drying completely
  • The dryer running but not generating any heat
  • Unusual noises or smells during operation, indicating potential overheating or electrical issues
  • The dryer repeatedly blowing fuses or tripping circuit breakers

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Dee Dee for Model Number PYET344AYW

Hi.. Last week I was drying clothes. The timer got to 20 minutes and never shut off. Today the same but was heating. So I moved it away from the wall and let it run to see if it was lint build up. After moving back in place I noticed that it was not heating. I looked inside the coils and there was a black piece of placstic in the coils and about an inch of coils that had broken off. Can this all be one problem and it is the heating eliment and or do i need to replace both , heating eliment and timer? Thanks.. Dee Dee

Hello Dee Dee. You will need to replace the heating element LA-1044 to see if the timer is going to work properly. There is no way to test without the heater working properly.

Rogelio, Try this. disconnect the exhaust vent pipe from the back of the dryer, make sure the lint filter is clean, and dry a small load of laundry. If the dryer workd properly, it indicates an issue in the exhaust vent system, and you'll need to check and clean the pipes and hood. Good Luck and Thanks
