Brian March 28, 2023 for Model Number MER6600FZ2 My oven begins to smoke when it reaches 350 degrees. I'm guessing something possibly spiiled at the front or rear of the oven and is laying in the area of the hidden bake element. The inside of the oven is clean. How do access the hidden bake element?
1 Answer Brian, If the oven cavity bottom is solid then there is only a small channel in the rear to remove the element and no access for cleaning. All you can do is run a self-clean and let whatever has spilled burn off. Read More...
Annie February 03, 2023 for Model Number LCRE300 Need to change out the baking element with the sides going straight back into the back of the oven. The left screw came out but the right screw will not budge at all. One brother said to use wintergreen essential oil but it did not work. One person said wd40 and another blast. Being that they’re flammable I did not use them.
1 Answer You might need to find someone with bigger muscles or you would have to drill it out and replace it with a new screw. Read More...
Michael November 24, 2022 for Model Number WOD93EC0AS01 The bottom oven in my 2 unit wall oven stopped working. It appears to be a problem with the bake element. I am unable to find a way to remove the bottom of the oven to access the element (there are no screws visible to remove the floor). Does this mean my only option is to pull the unit out of the wall to get to the baking element? Thank you
1 Answer Michael, Thanks for the questions!!! Yes, you will need to remove the oven to access the back of the unit for that bake element. Read More...
Steven C October 05, 2022 for Model Number GR563LXSB0 How do I access the hidden bake element on this model? I cannot see any access from the rear of the appliance.

Cainst April 23, 2022 for Model Number GY397LXUS03 (Whirlpool) During the self-clean cycle, my oven tripped its breaker. After turning the breaker back on it tripped the main breaker to the whole house. One of the element's lead wire female connectors was burnt and stuck to the side of the oven. Also saw evidence of an arc on the metal of the oven wall. I didn't see any other poor wiring connections. Do I just need to replace the burnt wire connector? Is this as easy as cutting off the old terminal disconnect, and crimping a new one on?
1 Answer Cainst, Thanks for the question!!! Yes, it should like correcting the wire issue should solve the problem. It is as easy as cutting off the old terminal disconnect and crimping a new one on. There is a slight chance that other components (mainly the oven control) could have been damaged but you won't know till the wiring is corrected. Read More...

Brandie May 23, 2021 for Model Number WOC54EC0AS01 my built in wall oven take a very long time to preheat and won't heat past a certain degree. I'm guessing my bale element is out however I can't figure out where to gain excess to it.
1 Answer Brandie, If you can see the bake element inside the oven then you could remove the 2 screws that hold it in place and slide it out but make sure that the breaker is turned to the off position. If the element is not showing then this would be a hidden bake element and you would need to remove the oven from the cabinet to gain access to the element. Read More...
