This replacement ice bucket housing encloses and supports the freezer's ice storage bin at the dispenser. A damaged housing can cause bin wobble or misalignment—replacing it restores a secure fit, smoother dispensing, and helps reduce stray ice and frost.

  • Holds and aligns the ice bin for proper engagement with the dispenser mechanism
  • Guides ice toward the chute and helps contain cubes and shavings
  • Helps limit warm-air leaks around the bin to reduce frost and clumping
  • Typical symptoms: bin won't seat or is wobbly, poor or no ice dispensing, ice spilling inside freezer, visible cracks in the enclosure
What's included: 1 ice bucket housing (enclosure) Install notes:
  • Unplug the refrigerator and shut off water before servicing
  • Remove the ice bin; take out any screws or clips securing the housing
  • Transfer any reusable brackets or screws from the old housing to the new one
  • Reinstall the housing level and secure; seat the bin fully, restore power, and test dispensing

Jason, It would not make a difference which wire you connect to which lead on the solenoid. You will want to check to make sure that the solenoid is getting 120 vac. If it is then the solenoid would be faulty and need to be replaced.

Hello Don, The auger yoke is left handed threads so you have to tighten it off and loosen it back on. Also, because of the direction of rotation, it tightens itself every time ice is dispensed. This can seize it on pretty tight, I always use an adjustable wrench to grab the yoke and rap it with a hammer and this will impact it loose. Be sure to remember that the threads are reversed so you turn it clockwise to loosen and counterclockwise to tighten.

Hello Alex, The yoke does have to be unscrewed from the motor to get it out. Remember that the yoke is left handed threads so you have to tighten it off. Also, I have found that these things get really tight. I mean really tight. The easiest way to break them loose is to put a wrench into the yoke and rap it with a hammer to "impact" it loose. Wear gloves and use a towel on you work surface to prevent causing yourself more damage than necessary.

Hi Richard. The just of your comment/question is absolutely true. However you will need to focus on the reason why there is moisture build up there in the enclosure firstly. Is your chute flapper staying open for moisture to collect on the auger? The ice door flapper kit is part # 12001991. Is the enclosure not put in fully and holding the door slightly open? Is there food in the bins holding the door open? You will need to remove the Ice bin monthly and dry it completley so the moisture or ice chips dont refreeze on the auger holding it frozen in place. Thank y6ou.
