Manufacturer Part Number: WP61004881

This replacement ice bucket housing encloses and supports the freezer's ice storage bin at the dispenser. A damaged housing can cause bin wobble or misalignment—replacing it restores a secure fit, smoother dispensing, and helps reduce stray ice and frost.

  • Holds and aligns the ice bin for proper engagement with the dispenser mechanism
  • Guides ice toward the chute and helps contain cubes and shavings
  • Helps limit warm-air leaks around the bin to reduce frost and clumping
  • Typical symptoms: bin won't seat or is wobbly, poor or no ice dispensing, ice spilling inside freezer, visible cracks in the enclosure
What's included: 1 ice bucket housing (enclosure) Install notes:
  • Unplug the refrigerator and shut off water before servicing
  • Remove the ice bin; take out any screws or clips securing the housing
  • Transfer any reusable brackets or screws from the old housing to the new one
  • Reinstall the housing level and secure; seat the bin fully, restore power, and test dispensing

Hi Richard. The just of your comment/question is absolutely true. However you will need to focus on the reason why there is moisture build up there in the enclosure firstly. Is your chute flapper staying open for moisture to collect on the auger? The ice door flapper kit is part # 12001991. Is the enclosure not put in fully and holding the door slightly open? Is there food in the bins holding the door open? You will need to remove the Ice bin monthly and dry it completley so the moisture or ice chips dont refreeze on the auger holding it frozen in place. Thank y6ou.
