Dominique May 22, 2016 for Model Number EDR3RXD1 I just changed my water filter and at first the water flow was extremely slow. Now water doesn't come out at all. I followed the direactions to change it several times but I still get the same problem.
1 Answer Dominique, In most cases when the filter is changed you will have to purge 3 gallons of water through. The initial burst will come through rapidly and then it will sputter because of air in the lines then you just continue holding the lever and it should allow the water to start flowing again. If this is not correcting the issue then you will want to ensure that the filter is all the way in and if it is then it sounds like the filter head may be defective. Read More...

Cheryl May 20, 2016 for Model Number ED5PVEXVS00 Does this filter remove any flakes or debris from the water, I didn't see a specification sheet or explanation. I could have missed it. Also, if this model does not remove debris do you have one that does? Respectfully, Cheryl
1 Answer Hello Cheryl. It will filter those as long as they are before the filter. Most of those occur after the filter in the unit. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Jeanne. It sounds like the filter housing is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Lisa February 16, 2016 for Model Number ED5PHEXMQ00 I tried to change the water filter in my Whirlpool side by side refrigerator because water was coming out from under the fridge -- drip pan was full - so i figured the water filter was old (full of stuff and needed to be replaced). I cannot for the life of me , no matter how hard i push get the new filter to go in far enough to make the 1/4 turn -- and i can't get the old filter back in either. Is there a bigger problem?
1 Answer Lisa, If you are unable to get the filter back in after removing the kickplate and trying to turn it with a pair of pliers or channel locks then the issue will be a water filter housing that would need to be replaced. Read More...

Jill L. January 30, 2016 for Model Number ED5VEXVB01 My filter came safe and sound, but I CANNOT get the cap off the existing filter. I push the white button, pull just as hard as I can, even moving the fridge with my pull. But I cannot get it off. Even sprayed WD-40 in there. What can I do?
1 Answer Hello Jill, While introduction of a petroleum product is not recommended, removal of the grille and the filter will be more accessible. You can use pliers to assist you in the removal of the cap and/or filter if necessary. Read More...
Briank January 22, 2016 Help! I've changed water filter many times but this time when I took out the old filter water started shooting out! Is there a valve that is supposed to prevent this from happening?
William January 16, 2016 I recently changed my W10295370A filter and flushed the system with close to 20 gallons and my water is still coming out cloudy. My water was not cloudy before the filter change. Any ideas?
1 Answer William, The only cause for the water to still be cloudy would be air in the water supply or the filter not getting pushed in all the way. Read More...
Danica January 16, 2016 for Model Number model T1WB2L Product manual states to use filter 4396710. Went online and bought fast fill filter 4396841 which said could also be used instead of filter 4396710. I just replaced the old filter to the fast fill and noticed water leaking from under the front left of the fridge. Is this leaking from using the fast fill filter or just a coincidence?
1 Answer Danica, These filters are the same and you will want to check for the condenser fan running. If the fan is not running then it can cause the drain pan to overfill. The other thing would be if the filter housing is leaking and causing the drain pan to overfill. Read More...
