Frank January 04, 2012 for Model Number MDB4800AWB Magtag Dishwasher Float Part # AP439OO17. Is there an O Ring or any type of seal on the stem of the Float?
1 Answer Hello Frank. No, there is no o-ring used on the float WP99002363. You will need to check and see if the water is filling to much and causing the unit to over flow out of the float chamber. If so, replace the water valve or the float switch. If the switch is testing good, then the valve is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Barry Courtney December 27, 2011 for Model Number MDB5100AWW water starts coming out of float hole about half way throughwash cycle. how can i check water level? can i turn off washer and open door without water running out?
1 Answer Barry, Yes, you should be able to unlatch the door, wait a few seconds and open the door without any water running out, unless the machine is overfilling. If the dishwasher is filling properly, the water level should be in contact with the lower half of the heater element to coverring the element slightly. You also want to check and make sure that the dishwasher is level in both directions(front to back and side to side). Remove the lower spray arm and check for debris in the jet openings on both sides and ends of the spray arm amd a possible split seam on the sides. If in doubt, and the checks are proper, replace the lower spray arm. Thanks and Good Luck Read More...
Dave December 06, 2011 for Model Number MDB7100AWQ My unit has been serving well since 10/16/2000 - however now - water collects in the bottom of the machine - but seems not to be circulating via the rotating arm below the dish racks - I opened up that area - removed some odd plastic scraps of seeming yogurt container? and odd food scraps - the soap does not clear out of dispenser - dishes remain dirty - what's to be done?
1 Answer Hi Dave. You basically need to remove the racks and all the wash arms. Use a pick tool under the sink and flush out the debris stuck in all the wash arm jet holes. Then start at the top of the motor pump assy. and use a shop vac. and paper towels to remove the filter flow plate with the 2 thin washers. Remove the round tall pump filter. Clean it also and all parts. Then below it is a cross shape rinse arm assy. that is 4" tall x 7" wide. Going vertical on all 4-sides are slots which will get clogged also and needs to be cleaned. Keep going as low as possible and you eventually will get to the chopper blade. There is a impeller that is approx. 2" diameter and is 2" tall. IT is black and round with a 5/16" bolt holding it down in the center. Inspect this internally to make sure all blades are still intact. If compromised, then you need to replace it. This cleaning along with monthly use of Dishwasher magic part # TJ104 or Glisten part # W10135699, should keep performance levels up to par. Thank You. Read More...

Ronnie July 29, 2011 for Model Number DWU7560AAE My dishes come out out dirtier than when they went in. At the end of the cycle there is still alot of detergent on the door and the dishes feel greasy and have food chunks on them. I always rinse dishes and glasses before running dishwasher. The float also feels like its full of gunk. Is there a filter on this model, if so where?
1 Answer Hi Ronnie. There are some things that you need to look at. Take the rack holding clips out of the end of the rails. Remove the racks. then remove the upper, middle, and lower wash arms. Use a pick tool and rinse them out clean under the sink. then be careful on disasembly of the pump motor asembly from the top down. Under the top strainer is a pump filter . Clean everything you see. You need to do this along with using "Glisten" or dishwasher cleaner monthly for optimum performance. Directly underneath the top is the rinse arm that is tall and has slots in all 4-arms. They get clogged as well. Clean and rinse these slots also. Inside the front of the tub is a white round float assembly that lifts up with the water level. If the stem of this is not engaging the switch correctly, then this will effect proper water fill also. Use rinse aid for drying and spotting. Keep your hot water temp. to at least 120 degrees at the sink or higher. Glisten part # is W10135699. Thank you. Read More...

How can I check and see what the water level is inside the tub. If it is to high, or I might have a bad valve. Also how can I check and see if the valve is shutting off quickly, or slowly. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Willie. The water level should come up to the bottom of the heater. If it is to high, you will need to replace the water valve WP99001359. Hope this helps. Read More...
Rick April 11, 2011 for Model Number mdb9100aww Float assembly leaks at bottom of chassis by microswitch. Is the level getting to high causing water to leak down float assembly shaft and drip on floor? Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.
