Part Number: OEM18025710
Manufacturer Part Number: WP3406653

This sensor harness connects the dryer's moisture sensor bars to the main wiring, helping the control or timer read moisture levels so Auto Dry cycles can advance and deliver consistent, reliable drying performance.

  • Provides the electrical path between the moisture sensor bars and the control/timer
  • Enables the dryer to sense wet fabrics and adjust or advance Auto Dry cycles
  • A damaged or open harness can cause Auto Dry to not advance, run too long, or stop early
  • Contribute to inconsistent dry times or a "Sensing" indicator that behaves abnormally
What's included: One sensor wire harness Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing
  • Access the sensor bars at the front bulkhead; note wire routing and clip locations
  • Transfer routing/clips from the old harness; connect to both sensor bars and the main harness plug, ensuring snug terminals and clear wire paths
  • Restore power and run an Auto Dry test; inspect/clean the sensor bars and check harness continuity

Hi Heather. They have changed the " MOV" part color simply because of a better part needed. It Is a metal oxide varistor That is used as a moisture sensor to supply the control board information. The thermal fuse is located on top of the blower hsg. It should read closed Or 0 ohms on a ohm meter. It is part # WP3390719. Thank You.

Hello John. You will need to check and make sure the terminal block on the unit is not burnt. You should have 240 volts not 120 volts. Also, if the power is good, you will need to test the thermal fuse WP3392519 on the blower wheel housing. It should read closed. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

John, Yes, the thermal fuse WP3390719 could and probably is the issue. This component should have constant continuity across the terminals if it is "good". It is a "One Shot " fuse, and will have to be replaced whenever there is No continuity. Thanks and Good Luck.

Hello Peter, you are right. The thermal fuse WP3390719 could have blown and this will cause the unit to do nothing. You should first take a look at the main breaker box and make sure that both levers for the dryer are turned on. You will also want to verify the door switch WP3406107 is still clicking when you press it in and release it. Hope you find this information helpful. Thanks!

Hello Stephen. You will need to test the thermistor WP8577274 and see if it is bad. It should read around 10K ohms at room temperature and around 2.5K ohms at the high heat setting. If it is reading bad, the thermistor will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.
