Kenny April 18, 2020 for Model Number WHIRLPOOL WRS325DAW01 WILL THE 8201515 ICEMAKER MODULE WORK FOR THIS REFRIGERATOR SINCE ITS ON THE SIDE AND NOT THE TOP AS THE VIDEO SHOWS?
Jim March 24, 2020 for Model Number GI0FSAXVY012 Can I purchase just the control module associated with your part number 8201515? There's nothing wrong with the swiper arm or any of the plastic parts just the low quality stepper motor on the control module. I am replacing this thing approximately every 18 months. Thanks
1 Answer Jim, unfortunately, the manufacturer does not provide the motor module separate from the arms found in the module kit 8201515. Read More...
Kevin December 17, 2019 for Model Number KSRG25FKBT05 I have used the jumper between holes T & H to try to cycle the ice maker and it does nothing I would like to buy the entire ice maker assembly but can not find a part number for the entire assembly. It seems like a trial and error method to repair this ice maker should I start with the motor module?
1 Answer Hello Kevin, You should first test from "L" to "N". This should read 120Vac. If not, you do not have voltage to the icemaker and it will not correct the issue to replace the complete icemaker assembly 2198597. Be aware that the door switches should be closed and the optics cannot be blocked from one side to the other. Read More...

Tom August 24, 2019 for Model Number ED%KVEXVQ00 How do I prove the icemaker motor/control module is at fault? If the water solenoid is stuck closed, does the maker keep cycling? We are retired, no extra bucks, can't just order stuff until I stumble onto the right one! PS I'm an old tech, 45yrs in repair or design. Thx Tom Britton
1 Answer Hello Tom, if the ice maker is constantly cycling then its internal thermostat is stuck closed, due to the circuit design if this happens the water fill circuit is disabled to keep from flooding the freezer, the replacement ice maker is part WPW10190965. Read More...
Rich July 26, 2019 for Model Number Ksrg25fvms00 Ice maker quit cycling with ice in the mold. I removed icemaker and then motor assembly. Contacts looked pitted some so I filed Everything else looked ok. Replaced unit and now it pops the gfi it is plugged into. Any thoughts?
1 Answer Hello Rich, if the GFI breaker only trips if the ice maker is installed or electrically connected in the refrigerator then replace the ice maker, part 2198597. Read More...
Bubba August 19, 2018 for Model Number 58582892 My ice maker quit working. I jumped ports V and L and ice maker filled with water, made ice, harvested but will not refill, again I jumped V and L, unit fills with water, makes ice, harvests, no refill, and so on.......so the tube isn't frozen, water valve seems to be working. Replaced the complete ice maker module along with the wire harness supplied with new unit. Still no ice. Repeated above process and I get the same results as before.....any ideas?
1 Answer Bubba, you need to replace the thermostat inside the icemaker, part number is WP627985, you will also need to order alumilastic, part number is WP4317852 Read More...
Rob February 06, 2018 for Model Number Whirlpool WRS965CIAM00 The Icemaker produces ice however the ice will not dispense through the dispenser. , I changed the Dispenser Motor WP2252130 ,but i still have no ice coming down the dispenser any ideas?
1 Answer Hello Rob. If the motor does not run, and the motor is new, you will need to check the dispenser paddle and the board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
Peter January 01, 2018 for Model Number WRS325FDAM02 My ice maker seems to have stopped making ice. I've done all the diagnostics I can and I believe it's the motor. If I jumper T-H nothing happens, if I jumper M-N nothing happens. The water valve works fine. I check the resistance of the heater and go 115 ohms. Should I just replace the module and see if the motor turns or is there a possibility that the heater isn't working and that's causing the motor to be stuck? Will the motor turn slightly even if the arm is stuck in ice?
1 Answer Peter, With jumping T to H and nothing happening then this would be an issue with the thermostat on the icemaker. Also pull off the module and make sure that none of the contacts inside are damaged.or burnt. Read More...
