Vic C December 20, 2012 for Model Number norcold 1200RIMD My ice maker no longer makes cubes . but water floods it to the point of overflow resulting in one large block in the bottom of the freezer. norcold model 1200RIM
1 Answer Hello Vic, It sounds like you either have a frozen fill cup or deteriorating icemaker. If the fill cup is freezing over then you would have a bad water valve which is allowing water to come into the icemaker when the unit is not calling for it. Tricking in. If the mold is deteriorated then the icemaker would leak, usually at the bottom. If this is the case you would need to replace icemaker. Read More...
Jed S December 17, 2012 for Model Number ED5FHEXNS00 I recently ordered a new ice maker motor module from you, it arrived quickly but, it did not produce ice. Your staff sent me a replacement, and it also did not produce ice. The unit has 123 V supply, but testing for the thermostat (on the T and H terminals) it shows 0 voltage. Am I missing something?
1 Answer Hello Jed. You can not test the terminals. You need to use a jumper wire and jump both out to cycle the icemaker with the light switch turned off. If there is no power then, you will need to order and replace the defrost control board on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Paw August 29, 2012 for Model Number 106.56533400 My ice maker stopped working. I believe the module is bad. Before I replace the module I have a question. I checked the voltage comming from wire connector. I get a reading of 34 volts. Is this correct? I thought this would be 120 volts. Paw

Kurt February 09, 2012 for Model Number ED5FHEXNT00 My ice maker only works if the on/off handle is in a certian spot. If I take off the cover of the ice maker I can see a module with a gear wheel on it and if the on/off handle is in the exact correct position the wheel will rotate. I am guessing this is what I need to replace to get the ice maker back on track?
1 Answer Hello Kurt. Yes, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the module 8201515 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
Roger K December 02, 2011 for Model Number 106.56726603 The ice cube maker works, but the auger doesn't and so we get cubes by hand. Is it a bad motor or something more? If it is a motor replacement only, I assume part number is 2188242. Can you confirm? Thanks, Roger
1 Answer Hello Roger. You will need to test and see if your getting power to the auger motor. Tape the light switch closed and press the lever and see if there is power at the motor. If so, you will need to replace the motor WP2188242. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Sandy November 06, 2011 for Model Number 106.56582500 My icemaker won't make ice. I have replaced the whole icemaker, the water valve and the filter. The line is not frozen. The dial turns but no water comes in. Water comes out of the fridge. What next?
1 Answer Hello Sandy. If the icemaker, water valve and filler are new, and there are no frozen line, and still no water, you will need to look for a loose or broke wire in the harness. Also, make sure the connections on the icemaker and the water valve is good, and none of the water lines are kinked. Hope this helps. Read More...
Sam November 02, 2011 for Model Number 106.56582500 My icemaker quit working. I have replaced the whole icemaker and the water valve. The icemaker still won't fill with water. Next?
1 Answer Hello Sam. Make sure the water filter EDR3RXD1 is good on the unit. If so, you will need to check and see if the fill tube for the icemaker is frozen. This can prevent the icemaker from filling when it cycles to bring in water. Also check and make sure the water is turned on. Hope this helps. Read More...
