The ice maker stopped making cubes, nothing at all. I replaced the inlet valve without any improvement. The ice maker seems to be rotating but water never seems to enter tray. Do I need to replace with Ice Maker W10884390 or check a thermostat?

Tom, Make sure the fill tube for the ice maker is not frozen up. Other than that with the ice maker cycling it would just need to be replaced.

Ice make is installed. arm is inserted. The arm is "midway" between up and down and offers resistance to being moved. Out of an abundance of caution I did not force it. Should I force it to the down position to begin making ice?

Yes, it does take a small amount of force to let the arm drop.

I inserted my ice container backwards and in doing so bent the arm shut. Now it doesn't register to shut off when the container is full. Do I replace the arm shut or the whole ice maker or something else?

Melissa, The ice maker arm is replaceable provided it did not damage anything inside the ice maker when it was being bent. Cut off Arm W11559683 New Ice Maker W10884390

Kieran, if the arm is fully inserted into the ice maker motor and will lock in the upward position, the failure would then be in the ice maker W10884390.

I just received a new ice maker, however, I noticed it has some sort of lube/grease on the ice tray. Am I supposed to wipe of the lube or have a few batches of ice made so they clear the lube out? thanks.

Hello Ruben, You should wipe out the ice tray with some white vinegar and throw away the first 4 or 5 harvests of ice.

We installed a new icemaker into our Whirlpool Refrigerator that we purchased from you and it filled up with water but has not dispensed the ice. What could the issue be?

Hello Mendy, the freezer temp would need to be 0-5 degF, the ice maker bail arm in the down position, the ice maker is powered through the freezer door light /interlock switch with the door closed.
