To invoke the Diagnostics Cycle, perform the following key presses or actions in less than 6 seconds while in standby: Heated Dry ? Normal ? Heated Dry ? Normal Invoking Service Diagnostics clears all status and last ran information from memory and restores defaults; It also forces the next cycle to be a sensor calibration cycle. Calibration cycles begin with a “sensor check” to determine whether the dishwasher has an OWI soil sensor. If the controller detects an OWI, it forces two rinses to occur prior to Final Rinse (to assure clear water), then calibrates the OWI during the final rinse. Turn on all LEDs immediately upon receiving entry sequence (even if door open) and throughout this first interval as a display test. If the flowmeter is operating correctly, the control will turn on the Clean LED when the flowmeter counts 3 or more pulses anytime during these intervals. Heater relay must lag wash motor relay by 1.5 sec at start-up of heated wash intervals to avoid simultaneous heater and motor in-rush current.

Hello Danny. Yes, if the unit does not latch properly it will prevent the unit from starting. If the latch situation gets repaired and the issue continues, you will need to replace the control panel. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Mark, The detergent dispenser should open and release the detergent between 7 and 9 minutes into the cycle. On pots and pans/heavy it will be about 14 minutes into the cycle.

Control is programmed to stop running and not allow any further cycles if it detects a water heating problem (no temperature increase detected in heated Main Wash on 3 consecutive cycles). Control blinks the Clean LED 7 times repeatedly and disables the Start/Resume key until cleared. Heater circuit problem: ! Open in heater. ! Open connection or component in heater circuit. ! Faulty heater drive circuit on control. 1. Check operation of heater in Diagnostics cycle. 2. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power. 3. Check resistance of heater and all components and connections in the water heating circuit or heat dry circuit.

Hello Mike. Test the door switches and make sure they are good. If they are good, then you will need to replace the control panel in the unit.
