Paulette March 14, 2015 for Model Number 66515634000 I was having trouble with detergent door staying closed. It appears to not be the spring. The latch would not hold the door. I ordered the latch kit, watched the video, and followed the instructions for the repair. Now, after installation, the latch does not release the door. After the completed cycle the door is still closed and the detergent remains in the dispenser.
1 Answer Paulette, You'll need to check and make sure that the actuator/draw bar assembly WP3369505 is seated and attached to the wax motor assembly WP3374501 and check the wires and condition of the wax motor, or replace it. The wax motor expands and contracts when power is applied or removed. The actuator moves and latches or unlatches the detergent door and rinse agent dispenser. Read More...
