Don Schneider April 09, 2018 for Model Number Wkw9150wwo1 How do you replace the baffle on this Washer?
1 Answer Don, The model number you supplied is incorrect or incomplete. But, to replace the baffle(s) on a "Duet" washer, you need to remove power to the washer and remove the top panel. Then carefully remove the spray hose from the top center of the outer tub. Position the basket with the baffle to be removed on top. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, pry up on the two basket locking tabs so they are above the baffle stops. (you do this through the opening of the tub where you removed the spray hose). You may also find a phillips head screw holding the baffle to the inner tub basket that will need to be removed. Reach inside the basket, and slide the baffle toward the opening until the tabs are aligned with the large basket slots, then lower the baffle, and remove it from the basket. NOTE: When you reinstall the baffle, make sure that you press the two basket locking tabs down below the baffle stops. Reverse the procedure and check the washer for operation. Read More...
Chris January 16, 2018 for Model Number GHW9200LQ0 I purchase the replacement baffle kit 285976 and the baffles don't fit. The tabs are too large and it does not fit the cutout in the drum. My drum also does not have the screw hole nor did my baffles have the screw hole and it did not have any screws installed. Sears replaced my drum under warranty quite a few years ago. They must have used some 3rd party replacement drum? Anyway, my existing baffles are now all broke and off the machine and I need to get 3 new ones. The new replacement baffles are the same exact size other than the tabs on mine are slightly smaller, say 3/8' versus the new ones are 1/2". The model on the inside of my existing baffles is 4619 7022014 1. Can you please help?
1 Answer Chris, The part number for the baffles on your unit will be 285976. If the manufacturer used a different drum than for the unit that does not go with the unit then we would not have information on the baffle that would work for your unit. Read More...
T January 05, 2016 for Model Number wfw9150w00 I have a duet washer with one broken and one loose baffle. Can you tell me if this model had the screw in or snap in type. I am a small lady and I really don't want to take the dryer off the top in order to do the check shown in the video if I don't have to.
Annette August 31, 2015 for Model Number WFW8500SR01 I just ordered a baffle for my duet sport washer, does mine require a screw or does it just snap in. Thank you.
1 Answer Hello Annette. If you remove the top and the black hose in the top of the tub, you can turn the basket and see if there is a screw in the baffle you need to replace. The model diagram is not showing one, but it is best to check and see if your model uses one. Read More...
James G March 10, 2015 for Model Number WFW9250WW01 What is the requirement to change the baffle in model: WFW9250WW01? Is there a screw or do they snap out?
1 Answer Hello James. There is a screw. To get to the screw you would need to pull the tub out and when you look into the large drain opening you may be able to access that screw. If you cannot get to it this way then you will have to take the tub assembly apart to get to it. You should be able to use the same screw that was in the original baffle. Read More...
Ivanho November 04, 2014 for Model Number WFW9150WW01 A baffle came loose inside my tub. It appears the plastic snaps were all broken off. It does not appear to have had a screw holding it as there are no threads cut into the hole. The question is should I use a screw to secure this or just snap it in?
1 Answer Ivanho, There is not a screw required for the baffle and you would just want to snap it into place. Read More...

Karen June 25, 2014 for Model Number 11047561603 How do I remove and replace the broken baffle on my Kenmore HE2t model 11047561603?
1 Answer Karen, I normally remove the access panel and remove the hose from the outer tub that leads to the drain pump. If you use an inspection mirror, you can open the door and turn the tub around by hand to locate the screw on the baffle. Be careful not to drop it inside the outer tub to avoid a complete teardown. While you can sometimes get lucky and access the baffle screw through the water inlet opening at the top of the outer tub, this is not the best way since dropping the screw leaves no option but the teardown method. The other option is to pull the tub assembly from the units' cabinet and split the outer tub Read More...
