Otto December 02, 2014 for Model Number KEMC378kss04 I just had another cavity light fail in my microwave and want to get the cheapest replacement. Its a 5 watt 12 v halogen G4. What is the actual tech specification call out, if any?

Brenda June 12, 2014 for Model Number KBHC109JSS04 What is the wattage of lamp base AP53066958 and how can it be installed in a kitchenaid superba microconvection oven model, Number KBHC109JSS04. Thank you Brenda
1 Answer Hello Brenda, As per the service manual: CAUTION: When you work on the microwave oven, be careful when handling the sheet metal parts. Sharp edges may be present, and you can cut yourself if you are not careful. 1.Disconnect the electrical power to the microwave oven. 2.Remove the microwave oven from the oven cabinet. Unclip the wire retainer and remove it. Remove the lamp from the holder and remove the wires from the harness. Re-assemble in the reverse order using a paper towel to handle the bulb since oil from your skin will cause the premature failure of the bulb. As best as I can tell, this is a 120Vac 5 Watt bulb. Barry November 25, 2012 for Model Number kems307gbs3 How do I replace m/w lamp for this model? Thank You, Barry
1 Answer Barry, It's a pretty involved procedure, you may have to remove the oven from the wall. But, in most cases, once you've removed power to the oven, removed the control panel and the air vent, in most cases, you can then unclip the light receptacle holder and lift the bulb out of the recepatcle and change it. It's a very tight "squeeze" but do able. We could've sent you some additional information, but you forgot to attach an email address. Read More...
