Marl February 18, 2022 for Model Number kemc308kss03 A replacement Microwave bulb that i recently purchased from you, EXPLODED. Blew apart into pieces. what could cause this. wpwq0440740. also, why is a wire (white plug) disconnected prior to replacing the bulb. thank you
1 Answer Marl, Thanks for the question!!! Two possible reasons. One, make sure the microwave is unplugged at the wall or the breaker is off before replacing the bulb. Secondly, never touch this style of bulb without wearing clean gloves. If you touch the bulb with your skin, it will transfer oil onto the bulb causing it to fail. Read More...

Ron January 10, 2020 for Model Number KEMC378KSS01 First, thank you for the wonderful videos on how to do repairs on my Kitchen Aid KEMC378KSS0. I was able to easily replace the inner glass on my oven door. Now I'm trying to replace the lightbulb as demonstrated at https://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlpool-lmp-basles-wpw10440740-ap6021432.html?wvideo=zb0g7lui8v. I can't get to the two screws on the side panel of the control panel because there is a vertical trim piece on each side. I see that there is an attachment screw on the inside bottom of each piece, but how do I remove it without bending or marring it? Does it just pry off? Is there some sort of clip holding it on? The video demonstrating the bulb replacement is done on an oven that is not installed, so the trim pieces on the left and right side are not there, hence my question. Thanks!
1 Answer Ron, the oven will need to be pulled forward enough to be able to access the screws at the side due to the trim kit preventing access to the screws. Read More...
Anthonyt December 20, 2018 for Model Number KEMC378KSS0 The light in the microwave of my KEMC378KSS0 doesn't light up when the microwave door is opened, but it does light up when cooking is going on in the microwave. Is it the light that needs to be replaced? or is it something else going on here? Thanks
1 Answer Anthony, It's something else going on. It's not the bulb or the light transformer. You'll need to check the primary door switch circuit, check all the door switch circuits and wiring between the switches and the control board. The circuits indicate the door switch is closed and the interior light wont illuminate when the door is open. Read More...
