V September 27, 2012 for Model Number RAX7245BLO We bought the spanner wrench and removed the nut but have tried and tried to lift out the tub. It will not budge! We put wd-40 and had 2 guys pulling on it etc. It is not coming off. Any Ideas?
1 Answer Hello V. If the outer tub ring is removed, then the inner basket assembly with the spanner nut removed, should lift out. You may need to rock it back and forth as you are lifting on the basket. Read More...
Sharon July 28, 2012 for Model Number RAS8244LQ0 Would this part be a reason why my washer will not spin the in spin cycle? It will spin if the load is very light.
1 Answer Hello Sharon, The spanner nut WP21366 could be loose, but if this is the cause, it will need a new drive block WP389140 and possibly a new basketdrive assembly W10820043. If the spanner nut is loose, the drive block will have to b replaced, but you need to determine if the basket drive needs replaced or not. This is done by looking at the "ears" that stick up and mesh with the two notches in the drive block. If the ears are square on both sides of both ears, the basketdrive is good. If one side of both ears are rounded off, the basketdrive will have to be replaced to avoid a repeat of the same issue. There is a special tool used to remove and reinstall the spanner nut. The part number is TB123B. You could have a bad motor coupler unless the unit is agitating properly. If it is agitating properly, the motor coupler cannot be the issue. Read More...
Tim M. May 24, 2012 for Model Number Lsq9600lwo I put a new transmission in. It worked great for a couple of days. Now it won't go in to spin. clothes are still wet. Talked to repair guy he said I didn't tighten spanner nut good and that would have wrecked something else but I don't remember What part he said. Any ideas he said it was very common. Thanks for any help!
1 Answer Hello Tim. It sounds like the drive block WP389140 is bad on the unit and will need to be replaced. Check it and see if it is broken or stripped out. Read More...
Dwight K. October 02, 2011 for Model Number LT5000XUNO When using the spanner wrench, how do you keep the drum from spinning?
1 Answer Hi Dwight. Spanner Nut - This nut is used on belt and direct drive washing machines. Thread: Right-hand. Holds the inner tub in place. Tool for removing the spanner nut - TB123B. You will use a steel headed, short handle mallot which will allow you short powerfull burst that will overcome the possibility of any inner tub turning. Thank You. Schuyler H. August 26, 2011 for Model Number LA7000XKW1 The Agitator does not move in Regular and permanent press cycle, but does move slowly in gentle and soak cycles. What part do I need?
1 Answer Hello Schuyler. Test and see if there is power coming to the motor when in regular cycle. If so, and the motor does not run, replace the motor 285222. If not, you will need to replace the timer 385341. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
