The Oven Bake Element is an OEM part for Whirlpool ovens. This crucial component is located at the bottom of the oven cavity and is responsible for providing the heat needed for baking. The bake element converts electrical energy into heat, which is then distributed throughout the oven to cook food evenly.

Common causes of a bad bake element include excessive use, accidental damage during cleaning, or a power surge that can burn out the element.

Symptoms of a bad Oven Bake Element include:

  • The oven not heating up to the set temperature.
  • Visible damage to the element, such as blistering, cracks, or breaks.
  • Lack of heat when the oven is turned on
  • An increase in cooking times

This OEM Whirlpool part can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

Hello Beth. Sorry, the model number you provided is coming up as invalid. It may be so old that our data base does not recognize it. Without the correct model number there is no way for us to suggest the correct element for your unit. Sorry about that.

Bernadette G for Model Number RB100PXY

Hi, I need to replace the heating element in my Whirlpool wall oven. I suspect the oven is around 20 years old. I don't want to replace the oven. The broiler still works fine. The heating element wasn't heating. Then it glowed red and split apart in front. I want to be sure I am getting the right one. The one you advertise for $22 looks exactly like it. There is no suffix on the model number on my oven like the ones I find when I search for the part. Can you help me please? Before the Holidays if possible? :) Thank you. Bernadette Greggory

Lynn, With the upper oven not working at all then this would most likely be caused by a faulty thermostat.

Jayme for Model Number RDE2400G2

I have an older Whirlpool double wall oven. I noticed the other day the lower heating element only would get warm not get red hot. When I lifted the element up I noticed on the left side where the element connected at the back wall I can see a little spark behind the plate. When I lowered the element back down it did then get red hot. Do you think I need to replace the whole element (since it will get red hot) or just the electrical connector or maybe both? I cannot find the specific replacement part for my model. Can you recommend a replacement part? Thanks

Steve, This bake element is showing as being the correct part number for the your unit. If the terminals are now just a spade connector then you would want to change the connector on the wire to a female spade and make sure that they are high temp. A part that you could use for this would be TJMA02875-1.
