Jon March 18, 2020 for Model Number JGS8860BDP When bake is selected the igniter never heats up. When convection bake is selected the igniter glows and the gas runs and the flame ignites, but the igniter and gas shut off before the temperature reaches 200f. When broil is selected the igniter glows and the flame ignites and it stays going. Doesn't shut off. I thought it was the igniter so I bought a new one and installed it and had the same problem. I thought I'd get clever, so I switched the red and yellow wires on in the blue terminal on the control board. After doing this, the igniter worked when bake was selected and the display read out the temperature and beeped when it reached the set temp. However, after cooking a few things I believe it was actually just on broil as things burnt on top but were under cooked on the bottom. I am unsure what part is the problem. It seems to be either the Electronic Control Board, the Gas Valve, or the oven temperature sensor. Any insight??
Isaac February 11, 2019 for Model Number mgr5765qdq 1 When I put the oven to 350°, it jumps to 100° & it's not getting warm.
1 Answer Hello Isaac, If the ignitor is glowing we will need to know how much current it is drawing. If it does not draw from 3.2 to 3.6 amps of current, it will never open the gas valve. You should use your test meter at the gas valve by removing the yellow wire and putting the test meter in series with the circuit from the yellow wire and the terminal it was disconnected from. With the meter set to the highest AC amperage setting, it should get up to at least 3.2 or the ignitor will need to be replaced. If it does get up there, the gas valve will be the most likely issue. Doc October 10, 2018 for Model Number Jenn-Air I purchased an oven temperature sensor PN AP4009456 and when installed the temp is much higher than what it should be. The sensor came with two pigtails that are of different mil gauges. Are these to be put in line to add control of the level going to the motherboard?
1 Answer Doc, We will need your model number to help you find the right parts for your unit. Please post another question with all your info included thank you. Read More...
Garfield June 23, 2018 for Model Number MSD2641KEW Freezer won"t defrost coils freeze then refrig gets to warm. replaced thermostat still have the same problem.. what do I do now ???
1 Answer Garfield, You would want to make sure that you test to make sure that the defrost heater has continuity and if it checks ok then this will most likely be caused by a faulty defrost control board W11227239. Read More...

Lori M December 12, 2016 for Model Number RBD275PDQ6 Whirlpool Accubake double wall oven. BOTH ovens temperature fluctuating from set temperature. Inconsistantly the pre-heating buzzer goes off says its at 350 but thermometer says 215. if I raise the temperature to like 450 it will eventually reach 350 and sometimes stay at 350 for entire bake time. other times it falls back down to around 225 it's very erratic but it's occurring with both ovens even though cooking at seperate times. self cleaning oven feature on the top is able to heat up super high because that did work. Is something wrong with my temperature sensor? are both ovens connected to the same sensor? I really need to know because I'm starting a small baking business (of course this would happen right now...lol) thanks for your help!
1 Answer Lori, The ovens have separate sensors and it sounds like the issue would be the circuit in the control board for the temps would be faulty and would need to replace the control board. Read More...
Shawn July 02, 2016 for Model Number CWG3100AAE I need to replace my temperature sensor but don't know how to shut off the gas to the oven or how to get it out of the wall. Any videos about that?
1 Answer Hello Shawn, The service manual explains as follows: Replacing Oven Sensor 1. Turn off gas and remove power from unit (at the circuit breaker). 2. Remove screws securing sensor to oven cavity back wall. 3. Gently pull the wire toward the front of the oven until the connector is within reach. 4. Disconnect sensor and remove from oven cavity. 5. Reverse procedures to reassemble. NOTE: When re-installing sensor, fasten connector then feed wires into sensor installation hole until pressure is felt (wires pressing against main back wall). This reduces the risk of damage to the connector when the oven is in use. I'm sorry but I was unable to locate a video for a wall oven. Read More...
