Janis, there is not a plug notated in the parts diagram. You should be able to remove the filter and water should still flow through.

Steve, the manufacturer is not offering a bypass filter for your model. If you remove the filter, and water will still dispense, the internal bypass is working and you will not have to use a water filter.
