Miguel for Model Number Mgvargas@bellsouth.net

Kitchen Aid : KESC307HBS8 Control board does not light up , but if I touch/push any of the buttons in the touch glass, there is a beep and every thing (oven , broiler , light convection fan) works fine , just no display on the glass. I was told that I need 2 parts:WP9782437 and WP9782455. It sounds to me that I would need one part or the other , because I do not think that both parts would go at the same time. by the way parts were not tested individually. What is your best advise . Thanks

Miguel, The transformer that powers the display is part of the power board WP9782437. This would be the most likely cause for this but would suggest checking the wiring harness between the 2 boards to make sure that it is not damaged.

Cynthia, Check to be sure there are no loose connections or damaged wires in the wire harness between the [9782430] Board, Display and the [9782437] Board, Power. If all checks OK, replace the WP9782437 power board. The part is in stock and available at this time. Thanks

The range does not light up with any display info most of the time. Every once in a while it will display data.. Pressing tabs produces a beep and the stove will work and oven light comes on. I am confused whether I need the electronic control board wp9782437 or the electronic oven control wp9782455. Also does your site have any videos/ instructions on how to remove the board. I want to take to repair center to check solder on #13 pin, which many people have written in with same problem that that fixes problem.

Luis for Model Number kitchen aid oven krc608lsso

Intermittent problem. I open the oven door lights on and display bonus all ok. Then close or open again and as soon oven lights turn on or off then everything shut off except the burners. Burners work ok all the time. Then after 30 minutes or so the display and oven start to work normally. I heard a relay click in the power board area before everything oven lights oven and displays stop working. It has been intermittent for a few days. also displays clock dims when the issue is about to happen. I also got error f1e2 once. Should I replace power board or control board or cable.

Hello Luis. You need to look for a wiring issue on the unit. It sounds like there may be a bad wiring connection. If all is good, then you will need to replace the control board on the unit.

Jt, Based on the description it sounds like the issue with the unit would be in the control panel. With the control panel being wrinkled the connection in the panel may be damaged and causing the issue with the keypad not working.

Song for Model Number KESC308LSS0

Hello, I have a Kitchenaid Electric Range, Model #KESC308LSS0. A few days ago, I had my oven on and after my house had a power outage due to a storm, the oven stopped working. The oven will not get hot. The broiler and convection doesn't work either. Inside oven lights do not come on. The cooktop and digital display still works though. If I turn on the oven and press the start button, the display just shows "Lo". I though it might be a fuse, so I was on your website trying to figure out which fuse it could be...but was told it might be this Power Board #9782437. I googled the web, and other sites say to change out Relay Boards, Oven Control Boards, Thermal Fuses, and/or Thermostats... I am just overwhelmed with parts suggestions and limited funds. Please help...any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello Tim. Sounds like the unit is set to Celcius and needs to be set to Fahrenheit. 1. Open the oven door. 2. Press CANCEL OFF. 3. Press number pads 1, 2 and 3, in that order. 4. Press BROIL. 5. Press START. Press BAKE to confirm that Celsius is being used. Only the temperature and a flashing degree symbol will appear in the temperature display area when the oven has been set to cook in Celsius. Repeat steps above to set oven to cook in Fahrenheit.
