Phil P February 22, 2014 for Model Number LSQ9010LW0 My washer leaks water on the floor during rinse. Only on occasion.
1 Answer Hello Phil. Check and see if you can locate where the unit is leaking from. Check the water valve and the pump on the unit. Either could cause the unit to leak. Read More...
Morris February 16, 2014 for Model Number Roper Washer B2121KW0 I wrote a few days back that my machine would fill and agitate but stop. If we dip out half the water it will spin. You suggested the start capacitor but that's not else. Any ideas Thanks
1 Answer Hello Morris. If the wiring is good, you either have a bad clutch, or the transmission is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Syed N February 15, 2014 for Model Number LSB6200KQ0 Washer will fill and agitate for the wash cycle then pause. After the pause it will not rinse and spin.
1 Answer Syed, If the unit is draining but not spinning after the wash cycle and then does not fill for the rinse and spin then you will want to check to see if the pressure hose is clogged. Also check the water valve screens to make sure that they are not clogged with debris. If clogged clean water valve. You will also want to check the clutch to make sure that it is good. Read More...
Allen L. February 05, 2014 for Model Number roper washer model no. ras8445kqo New motor from you installed, still have problem on high spin a load squealing sound.
1 Answer Allen, When you replaced the motor WP661600 , did you check the drain pump drive hub WP3363394 for noise or a "drag" when you turned the hub. If all's Ok, then you need to lower the gearcase and check the clutch assembly 285785 and brake shoes 285438 for excess wear and slippage. Either of these parts will produce a squealing noise in the spin cycle. Read More...
Jewels February 02, 2014 for Model Number 11027802690 I had trouble wiith the spin cycle so I changed the motor coupler. It is still making a grinding noise like it needs grease somewhere that does it thru all functions of the cycle. Im thinking maybe the tub suspension pads but there was quite a bit of rust built up on the front motor shaft where the pump is but I don't see the pump dripping any water in fact it's not even wet. Can I grease that front shaft of the motor?
1 Answer Hello Jewels. It sounds like the transmission is bad in the unit. Also, it sounds like you need to replace the pump in the unit. It could cause the noise if it is bad. Read More...
Mr Whirl January 21, 2014 for Model Number LSR8233JQ1 My washer fills, agitates but won't drain. The lid switch was trashed and with a new one from you it worked great. Now, 6 mos later, it fills and agitates but won't go further. It makes an electrical hum noise like it wants to do something but stops after a minute. About 10 mins later it tries again and won't advance so it stops. I did an ohms test on the lid switch and it is good. After turning the drain pump gears it worked again for a few months but now it is doing it again? Any ideas. Should the drain pump gears be able to spin in both directions?
1 Answer Hello. Remove the pump and see if it is bad. It should turn both ways when removed. If the pump is good, all signs are leading to either the motor, timer, or bad brake sticking on the unit. Check the brakes first. It is common for the brakes to stick. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/washer-repair/3265-replacing-direct-drive-washer-brake-shoes.html Read More...

Randy December 17, 2013 for Model Number Whirlpool SAWS800HQO Replaced the lid switch and drive coupler on the unit. Reassembled the unit and tested. Everything functioned ok until the drain stage. The unit drained but there is excessive noise during this stage. Could this be caused by the pump. thx Randy
1 Answer Hello Randy. Yes, if the pump is loud, it could be clogged or the pump is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More...
Jim December 14, 2013 for Model Number mvwc6esww1 Washer goes through all of its cycles but clothes are still very wet when spin cycle ends. the washer seem to be spining fine. Is this the pump going?
1 Answer Jim, You will certainly want to check the pump for obstructions and make sure that the vanes on the impeller are not damaged. If this checks ok then also check to make sure that the springs and pads on the skate plate are good. Normally when a unit is not draining properly it is caused by the tub moving around too much.
