Fred October 28, 2011 for Model Number Kenmore 665.13744K601 My dishwasher will not drain at the end of the cycle. (I suspect it does not drain anytime during the wash.) I find dirty, soapy water left in the tub. To salvage the effort, I have been doing two cancel drain cycles to get the tub as empty of water as possible followed by a quick rinse and two more cancel drains. I changed the control board then the drain pump. Neither helped. I just learned about the optical water indicator. Now I am suspecting this might be the culprit. Is the OWI the likely problem and if so, how can I clean/test it?
1 Answer Hello Fred. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the drain hose may be partially clogged and will need to be snaked out, or replaced. Place the end of the hose in a buck and see if the water comes out in a trickle and real slow. If so, the hose is clogged. Hope this helps. Read More...
Ed S. October 17, 2011 for Model Number 665.13832K601 I have a Kenmore dishwasher, model 665.13832K601. Do you have motor bearings available as mine seized over the weekend? Also, do you have the pump seals available?
1 Answer Hello Ed! Unfortunately, the manufacture does not offer the motor bearings as a separate part, you would have to purchase the pump motor itself to obtain this part. It would be best to purchase the pump and motor assembly WPW10780877. Thanks. Read More...
Russ October 16, 2011 for Model Number DU1101XTPB7 I purchased the motor/pump assembly for this model and successfully replaced the defective one. After starting the dish washer up and checking for leaks, I noticed everything seemed to be in check. Operation was much more quiet (as it should be), and after opening the door during the first few minutes of the cycle, I was able to verify that water was recirculating properly. However, after 10 min. of operation the pump more or less stopped working and would just make this droning noise. I repeatedly restarted the wash cycle and keeps doing the same thing: running fine for several minutes, then not recirculating water at all while sounding like the pump or something is running. I don't know if this is a programming issue or what. Please advise. Thanks
1 Answer Hello Russ. You will need to remove the drain pump WPW10348269 and check for something clogging it. If it is clear, and the pump does not run, you will need to replace the drain pump assembly. Hope this helps. Read More...

Pamela September 18, 2011 for Model Number Kenmore 665-17032 403 When the motor is running makes a very loud whining noise, only when the motor is running otherwise functions fine. Would replacing the motor assembly with AP4434612 be the best remedy or is there another cause for the noise? We noticed on the part description that there could be more than one Thermistor size, how do I determine what size I need for the Kenmore Model above? If I need to change the entire motor are there additional parts needed to be purchased seperately ? If so, what would I need ?
1 Answer Hello Pamela. Yes, to repair the motor, you can replace part number WPW10780877. For the thermostat, you will need to order WP661566. Hope this helps. Read More...
Banshee06 August 28, 2011 for Model Number 665.15899100 I removed the sump and motor assembly on my dishwasher to clean out the sump and replace the impeller. I installed the motor back in the sump and put everything back together. I reinstalled the dishwasher and started a wash cycle - as the tub was filling water started leaking from the bottom of the motor housing vicinity the volute / motor / sump clamp. I pulled the dishwasher back out and pulled the motor back out of the sump, checked the seal on the volute and all seemed fine. While inspecting the motor/volute assembly I found that the volute moves vertically (up and down) on the shaft approximately a few millimeters between the motor and the impeller. Is this normal? If not could it be the cause of the water leakage? It seems like the motor seats well when re-installed. I did not have water leakage before I removed and re-installed the motor. Thanks, Banshee06
1 Answer Banshee, It sounds like you did everything right. You did check and make sure the "arrows" on the volute and the sump were aligned before you tightenned everything up. That assembly will leak if they aren't aligned. Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Ray C. August 12, 2011 for Model Number GU2455XTSBO I have a Whirlpool Quiet Partner III Model GU2455XTSBO, Ser # FT4009096 with the Dark Gray interior. My unit makes a loud noise whenever the main motor and pump are operating. Fill and drain are normal. According to your website the correct Pump/Motor assy is AP4434612. The item pictured shows the white/Lt Gray pump assy. I need the Dark Gray colored unit, white/Lt Gray substitute is not an option. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank You, Ray
1 Answer Hello Ray. Based on the model number you provided, WPW10780877 is the only pump and motor assembly the manufacture offers for this dishwasher. The bottom of the pump is under the dishwasher, and can not be seen, and the top part is grey in color, which is what is seen inside the dishwasher. Hope this helps. Read More...

Glenn M. May 17, 2011 for Model Number KUDT03FTSS0 I think I'm going to need a pump/motor assembly, is AP4434612 correct for my model? The motor is making a loud noise. This dishwasher is less than 3 years old, I found some ceramic pieces from plates down around the chopper. Could this have caused the problem? What can I do to prevent this from happening again?
