Melody July 21, 2017 for Model Number ED25RFXFB00 Our ice maker has been leaking for some time and I'm ready to replace it. I'm confused as to which part to order, I surely don't want to order the wrong part, can you help? It leaks from the filled or newly filled ice tray and I catch the small amount in a bowl. Its not much but it seems to be getting worse. I think I can handle this I just not sure of the correct part. I'm looking at part number ap2984633
Jerry July 20, 2017 for Model Number ED5FTGXKQ02 whirlpool ice maker AP2984633 is there a way to adjust it to make it cycle/make ice more often? I just replaced this unit about 24 hours ago and so far it has only made 2 or 3 batches thanks!
1 Answer Hello Jerry. No, you will need to make sure the freezer temp is 0-5°. If not, then the icemaker will not cycle properly. Read More...
Robert P. July 11, 2017 for Model Number AP2984633 (4317943) I received a replacement ice maker, but it doesn't include the arm that allows the user to stop ice creation manually or due to an overflow. Is this part available for purchase?
1 Answer Hello Robert, The arm is not included because there are so many shapes of bale arms for the icemaker assemblies, it is not possible to include them all with the assembly. If you could please post a new question which includes the model number of the unit the icemkaer is to be installed in, we can check to see if the bale arm configuration for that model is available individually. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...

Doris May 28, 2017 for Model Number ED5PHEXRTOO I have water coming out the water dispenser, but no water going to the ice maker to make ice. Where do I look?
1 Answer Doris, You will want to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen up going into the icemaker. If this checks ok then this issue will most likely be caused by a faulty water valve. Read More...
Mildred C April 09, 2017 for Model Number IED5VHEXVQO2 I need the baskets that fit in door I have two that are cracked and fall out
1 Answer Hello Robert. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
