Steve, There is a little white screw on the side for adjustment. You will want to check the icemold for deterioration which will cause leaking.

Mary Jo, The hollow cubes is an indication that there is not enough water flow coming into the icemaker. This is normally caused by a water filter that needs to be changed or if the filter has been changed it may not be fully seated in the housing.

Richard B for Model Number SSD25ET

The plastic water line ln the back of my Amana refrigerator is leaking. The leak is at the top where it goes in to the back of the refrigerator. It appear the joint seal has failed. It mght be high density poly. Can the be repaired or does it need to be replaced? If it can be repaired what is the recommended adhesive? It is 16 years old and it was fortunate that we were not qway on vacation, or could haved had serious. Shoud these plastic tubes be replaced due to age. Thanks Richard

Richard, There was not type of adhesive for the water tube. If the water tube is not brittle then it can still be used. The most common cause of the water tube popping out of the fill tube is the fill tube being frozen. You will want to check this and if it is then you will need to replace the water valve which is seeping. If the fill tube is frozen clear and you can reinsert the water tube back into the fill tube. The clamp that is on it helps to keep the tube in place unless the fill tube is frozen and pressure causes it to pop loose.

Hello Charlie. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Raymond, This icemaker is not a drip tray style icemaker. It is a mold fill tray. Milky cubes would represent that the water coming in is not pure like it is not hooked up to the RO system. Not aware of any type of drip tray style icemakers other than icemachines would be considered that style because they run the water across an evaporator to freeze the water.

Jerry, It will take a couple of hours normally before you start seeing ice drop into bin. Once the thermostat is satified on the icemaker and the sensor allows it to cycle it will put water in and then ice will drop about 1 1/2 after it fills.

Hello Jerry. Make sure the icemaker is not bad and leaking in the unit. Also, make sure the valve is not bad and allowing in to much water. You can try adjusting the screw, but you can only adjust it a little. If it still leaks, then there is a parts issue with the unit.
