Jburke May 03, 2013 for Model Number ET8CHMXKTO4 6 months ago the ice maker stopped making ice. I unplugged the refrigerator & turned off the water coming to it. I removed the part on the back, bottom right corner where the water line connects. I cleaned the part and put it back on. The ice maker worked for the past 6 months until 4 days ago, when it stopped again. What do you think the problem is? Thank you.

Mike B April 27, 2013 for Model Number kssc42qks00 The ice maker in my 11 year old Kitchen Aide kssc42qks00 refrigerator will occasionally overflow - so that water runs out the ice dispenser! This has been happening only about once a month, but is now more frequent. The sounds made by the valve when open too long are identical to when it is working correctly... just for too long. I was going to replace the ice make thinking the control unit is bad. Does this sound like the way to go? Thanks!
