After install icemaker is only making 4 trays of ice per day. Is there an adjustment?

Larry, You will want to check the water fill on the unit as if it is not bringing in enough water it will cause the unit to have longer times between ice production. You will also want to check your freezer temperatures. If the freezer temp is not cold enough it will take longer to cycle.

Hello Pr. You will need to check and see if the water filter is bad on the unit. If it is good, you will need to check and see if the water supply is good, and if the water valve needs to be replaced on the unit.

I have a Kitchenaid KTRS22ELWH01 refrigerator with the ice maker in the freezer. My ice maker was giving hollow cubes and I kept finding ice on the back of the ice tray as if water was dripping. This has been going on for awhile and now I get nothing even though I hear the ice maker motor. Do I need to replace the water inlet valve or the ice maker itself or both ? Thanks.

Steve, If the water dispenser is working, you'll need to replace the "dual" valve WP2188785, if neither the dispenser or the ice maker is working, replace the "single" inlet valve WPW10498990 , Also check and flush the water supply line to the inlet valve, and replace any in line water filter. Hollow cubes and sputterring from the water fill tube is also an indication of low water pressure.

Ice was forming on back of tray as if water was leaking and most times I didn't get a solid ice cube. I was still getting cubes. Now I hear the icemaker motor but it's not making ice. Yankees, You will want to check the unit for a frozen fill tube. Pull the icemaker out and check to see if the fill tube is frozen. If so then you will need to clean out the fill tube and replace the water valve on the unit.

I ordered a replacement Ice maker and all the instructions say to loosen two 1/4 inch bolts on top of the ice maker There is a bracket holding it in not bolts I cannot figure out how to remove the old ice maker. It is hard to see I have to hold a mirror in the freezer to see the mounting. Does Maytag have a different mounting on some of the ice makers. Model MSD2756gew Serial no. 23784192CE

Cliff, There is a screw underneath the icemaker that you remove. Once removed you will pull the icemaker toward right freezer wall from the bottom. This will release the icemaker from the clips. Install in the same manner.

Water from the ice maker is pouring into the freezer. I suspect that the motor may have failed, so the water is going on to the top of previously frozen but not ejected ice cubes. Is this a repair I can do myself? Is a replacement ice maker available? Freezer is 18-20 years old.

Hello J. You will need to test and see if there is power going to the water valve on the unit. If there is no power, the valve has failed and will need to be replaced. If there is power, you will need to replace the icemaker. The replacement icemaker is part number D7824706Q. These are not hard to replace and you should be able to do it.

I replaced the timer on the ice maker and I have water coming from the bottom of the ice maker. It's making ice just fine and the ice doesn't look oversized or irregular. Is there a ajustment on the timer (motor) that will lower the water level?

Steve, There is a little white screw on the side for adjustment. You will want to check the icemold for deterioration which will cause leaking.
