John B. April 30, 2012 for Model Number Jenn Air JRSD209 I replaced the ice maker in the Jenn Air JRSD209 refridgerator recently with your # AP 4135008 unit. Some of the ice cubes that it produces are not frozen completely (unfrozen water is seen inside the frozen outer shell of the cube). Is there a way to increase the freeze time of the cubes using the setting screws in the control module?
1 Answer Hello John. Test and make sure the temperature inside the freezer is between 0 and 5° for the best results in making ice. If it is too cold or not cold enough, it will cause the issues you are having. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...

Jon S. April 25, 2012 for Model Number 106.9555721 My icemaker leaks and I replaced the valve. Water drips into the ice container and onto the door and freezes. Do I need a new ice maker?
1 Answer Hello Jon. Make sure the unit is level. You can use a small level inside the freezer and sit it on the icemaker. If the icemaker is level, and the water valve is new, and it still leaks, you will need to replace the icemaker 4317943 in the unit. Read More...
Eva S. April 19, 2012 for Model Number AP 2984633 The optional ice maker ordered, will this fit a 220v refrigerator to replace the broken one I have? If this part does not fit a 220v freezer please let me know which one is the right part to purchase. Please let me know as this is urgent. I just spoke with ext 2012 to hold the shipment until we find out.
1 Answer Hello Eva! The Whirlpool Icemaker kit part number 4317943 is a 120v icemaker and will not work in a 220v enviroment unless you have a 110-120v transformer. Unfortunately, we do not have any information regarding a 220v icemaker. I do apologize for the inconvenience! Read More...
Lohi April 14, 2012 for Model Number ABB192ZDEW I would like to have the installation instructions for the replacement ice maker unit (D7824706Q) for this Amana refrigerator model, please.
1 Answer Hi. I want to help explain the installation since there are none. Turn the power off at the fridge controls then the breaker. Remove the ice bin. Put the bail arm down. Remove the 1/4"screw at the front /bottom of the ice maker mount tab. Now remove the top 2- 1/4" screw at the top of the ice maker. It is normal to feel the top screws since they are hard to see. Then unclasp the electrical connector at the back upper lt. corner of the back. Use a small screwdriver to release the side tab that hold the original electrical connector to the ice maker. Put this in the new ice maker tightly where it was on the origional one. Remove and replace the bail arm tightly into the back of the head on the new ice maker. Replace the new in the unit. Use a small torpedo level to insure the ice maker is level when tightened. Turn the ice maker bail arm on (lowered). When the unit reaches the freezer 0°, then it will call for water from the water valve. Ice Maker part # D7824706Q. Thank You. Read More...
Tracy April 14, 2012 for Model Number KSRX25F My icemaker keeps freeing up the black tube that the water comes through is feezing. The water overflows the little white holder below black tube and freezes. I have taken a hair dryer and cleaned the ice out and it will work for a day or two and then refreezes. I have turned the setting down on low for the freezer and still have the problem.
1 Answer Hello Tracy. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the water valve W10408179 is bad and is causing the unit to freeze. Hope this helps. Read More...
