Hi Larry. There are a few issues with the clear coat. The heater mold is heated for approx. 6-sec. each time to help eject the cubes. This will possibly come loose and then come out with the cubes. The clear coat is not at all "Food -Grade" and will certainly cause health issues. The ice maker part # is D7824706Q. Thank you.

Riverplate for Model Number Maytag 2560 HES

Hello, Below is the original question. It was easy to change the water valve, (part # AP 4080 917), and yet water is not flowing to the ice maker. I thought I had to get rid of the air inside the hoses. I did, and water comes out from the water dispenser.I have notice that the hose for the ice maker is empty. No water at all? Did I miss something? Is there a way to fill the hose with water?I have checked the ice maker again, the timer is working, the hose is clear and not frozen, is the signal to release water to the ice maker the problem? Please Advice. Thx ! "Water it is not getting to the ice maker. I have checked the the whole maker, the arm seems to work, I have removed the housing, and the timer wheel is rotating. I went to the back, bottom left, remove the plates, and the hoses are fine, I can clearly see that there is water for the water dispenser, and water for the ice maker is half way there. Each of those hoses are connected to a sineidol, relay, or some sort of electrical part that obviously work as a water pump. I said obviously because I've removed their electrical cables, then I've pressed the water dispenser button, and no water came out. Plugged back in and the water come out of the water dispenser.....So I am assuming that I have to replace that part? Your expert opinion is welcome !" Best regards,

Riverplate, You have to "bleed " the air out of the ice maker fill tube as well. The easiest way is to get a 3 or 4 inch length of 14 guage wire and strip the 3/4 in. of insulation off of both ends. Remove the icemaker control head cover(white plastic box), insert one end of the wire into the opening labelled "T" and the other end in the opening labelled "H", and make sure the wire ends contact the internal contacts, in a few seconds the main gear should start to rotate, then remove the wire. When the ejector arm reaches the 1 to 2 o'clock position, the water valve should activate and you should hear and see water start to fill the fill spout. It may take 2 or 3 tests to clear the water, any more than that and you will need to recheck all the wiring connections at the wall connector or replace the icemaker, if you don't have a multimeter to check circuits and voltage. Thanks and Good Luck

Barb, Its a simple repair, loosen two screws on the back of the mold, holding the top to the wall, remove the one screw holding the bottom of the control to the wall, lift up on the icemaker, and dismount the assembly, then unplug the wirie harness from the wall connection. The hardest part is lack of room, We're sure you can handle it.
