For Whirlpool Ice Maker (Part Number: OEM12405033)

Riverplate for Model Number MAYTAG Model MFD 2560 HES

Water it is not getting to the ice maker. I have checked the the whole maker, the arm seems to work, I have removed the housing, and the timer wheel is rotating. I went to the back, bottom left, remove the plates, and the hoses are fine, I can clearly see that there is water for the water dispenser, and water for the ice maker is half way there. Each of those hoses are connected to a sineidol, relay, or some sort of electrical part that obviously work as a water pump. I said obviously because I've removed their electrical cables, then I've pressed the water dispenser button, and no water came out. Plugged back in and the water come out of the water dispenser.....So I am assuming that I have to replace that part? Your expert opinion is welcome !

Hello Riverplate. If the icemaker is working properly, and is sending power to the water valve during harvest, and the fill tube is not frozen, you will need to replace the water valve WP67005154. Hope this helps.

Matthew, If it was just overfilling, We'd go with a fill valve, But if its not releasing and dispensing the cubes, we have othr issues in the control mechanism, go with the icemaker kit, 4317943 Good Luck and Thanks
