For Whirlpool Replacement Icemaker (Part Number: OEM12405033)

Alex, Is the shut off arm W11342242 still atached to the ice maker assembly ? if you raise the arm all the way up until it "clicks" and locks in the Off position, does the arm stay up. If it does, you'd have a defect in the internal switches in the control assembly and will need to replace the control head assembly or icemaker 4317943 Good Luck and Thanks

Hello Marsha. It sounds like the fill tube for the ice maker is frozen and needs to be thawed out. If it is frozen, then the line will pop off during the fill cycle. Hope this helps.

Tom for Model Number whirlpool side by side / ED25PQXFNOO

We woke up this morning to a very wet floor, water was coming out the front of the ice maker, we had water in the freezer as well as the floor. I turned my water shut off valve off, ice maker tray was full, I raised the bail arm and cleaned up the mess, later I let the arm down and it dumped the ice fine. I read a lot of peoples questions and there seems to be two answers, replace the unit or replace the water valve. HELP water valve part number is 2182106 showes model 71, 120v 60 hz 40w MOPD 150 psi. Also the water in the door quit working, I have water in the tank. This is a old problem that I thought I would fix while I was fixing the new problem. Thanks

Hello Tom. If the icemaker is cycling properly and dumps the ice correctly, then it sounds like the water valve 4318046 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps.

Bennet, here are some basic instructions :'1. Disconnect the unit from the electrical supply. 2. To remove the ice maker: a)Open the freezer door. b)Close the spring-loaded emitter door and open the ice maker door.(if equipped) c) Push the ice maker door to the left so that the right pin disengages from the pivot arm, then lift the pin out of the pivot, and remove the left pin.d)Remove the wire shield screw from the bottom of the ice maker. e)From the rear of the ice maker, lift the top of the wire shield slightly and pull it back to release it from the ice maker. f) Press up on the two retaining clips (one on each side) at the bottom of the ice maker tracks with a fingernail of each hand, pull the ice maker forward, and remove it. g) If you are completely removing the ice maker, unplug the wiring harness connector from the ice maker." Thanks and Good Luck

Hi Jerr. Is the ice maker getting water supply? If it is then check to see if the bail arm is down. Reach in and check for ejection fingers are not stuck physically with a cube or against ejection blades. If not then replace the ice maker with part # D7824706Q. Thank you.
