1 Answer Alex, Is the shut off arm W11342242 still atached to the ice maker assembly ? if you raise the arm all the way up until it "clicks" and locks in the Off position, does the arm stay up. If it does, you'd have a defect in the internal switches in the control assembly and will need to replace the control head assembly or icemaker 4317943 Good Luck and Thanks Read More...
Marsha B. November 12, 2011 for Model Number MTB2156BE The tube into the refrigerator for the icemaker pops off when the icemaker tries to make the ice. The water goes through the tube just fine. Why?

Tom November 06, 2011 for Model Number whirlpool side by side / ED25PQXFNOO We woke up this morning to a very wet floor, water was coming out the front of the ice maker, we had water in the freezer as well as the floor. I turned my water shut off valve off, ice maker tray was full, I raised the bail arm and cleaned up the mess, later I let the arm down and it dumped the ice fine. I read a lot of peoples questions and there seems to be two answers, replace the unit or replace the water valve. HELP water valve part number is 2182106 showes model 71, 120v 60 hz 40w MOPD 150 psi. Riverplate October 07, 2011 Part Number: AP2984633 - Ice Maker I did what you suggested (inserting a wire on T and H, and nothing happened) I have also realize that the timer wheel was turning, and it is not turning now. So I purchased the ice maker. How do I bleed the hose for the Ice Maker? The same way as you suggested before? I do not want to ruin the new Ice Maker. Please advice ASAP since I have already purchase the part. Thx
