The Natural Gas Regulator is an OEM part for Whirlpool ranges. This regulates the pressure of natural gas entering the appliance, ensuring safe and efficient operation. It maintains a consistent gas flow to the burners and oven, allowing for precise temperature control and optimal cooking performance.

Over time, the natural gas regulator can wear out or become damaged due to exposure to high temperatures, contaminants in the gas supply, or mechanical failures.

Symptoms of a bad natural gas regulator include:

  • Inconsistent flame or burner performance
  • The oven or burners not igniting or staying lit
  • Unusual odors or hissing sounds near the regulator

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Dave, on Magic Chef model YG20JN4 the entire valve will have to be ordered if the original parts were not kept. The valve is part number 63-6786N, this item has been discontinued and is no longer available. For Kenmore model 110.70952990 you will need the orifice WP234826 and the limiter WP694424. Thanks!
