Mark April 15, 2013 for Model Number CTN1511GEW Hello, Just as others have asked here I am just as confused about which is the correct part. I want to replace a relay (and starter?) for a Magic Chef refrigerator compressor (refrig model # CTN1511GEW). The relay has a part number on it 4SP1088 and under it 06 402R. The relay kits look different than the one I pulled off the compressor. There is a another number on the other side of the assy which may be the part number for the overload relay?- 427NFBY. Any advice as to the correct relay assy appreciated. Thanks, Mark
1 Answer Mark, according to your model number the overload/relay kit is part number 12002782. Thanks! Read More...
Clinton March 13, 2013 for Model Number maytag plus MTB2156GES My freezer/refrigerator will run normally, but when the cooling kicks on it just kicks right back off. It blows cool air, but not cold air. Just seems like as soon as whatever it is kicks on to make it cool , it just kicks right back off. but still runs normally.
1 Answer Clinton, You will want to make sure that the condensor fan motor is running. If not then check for 120 vac at the fan motor and if there is power but no motor operation then replace condenser fan motor. If the fan is ok, remove the start relay from the compressor and shake it. if it rattles then the relay is bad and will need to be replaced. Read More...
Nameless March 01, 2013 for Model Number MTF2156GEW I recently purchased the Start Device (MFG Part Number 2319794) for a Maytag refrigerator MTF2156GEW, revision 14. The new Start Device looks substantially the same as the old one and has the same voltage printed on the side, but the electrical connectors (spade or blade type) on the new device are smaller than the ones on the old device (this can actually be seen in the product photo, now that I look more closely), and the plugs on the corresponding fridge wires are too large and not the right fit for the new device. What is the solution? Should the plugs on the fridge wires (blue and orange) be replaced to match the connector size on the new device? Thanks.
1 Answer Nameless, You could locate the correct size terminals for the new part and replace the terminals on the wires to match that of the relay. Read More...
Brian B November 12, 2012 for Model Number gu980scgb2 Have Whirpool dishwasher. Problem were unit will go through the complete cycle then the normal dishes red LED light on control panel will go through a series of blinks then restart the cycle all over again. Does not do it all the time, just every now and then. Was wondering if I may have a problem with the electronic control assembly board part # 8530929. Front panel board appears fine.
1 Answer Hello Brian, Based on the information provided it sounds like the keypad WP8051710 may be shorting or have stuck key causing issue. Read More...

Buffytech August 06, 2012 for Model Number ct19g6b I have a Crosley refrigertator modeL #CT19G6B. I have a replacement start device part #2319794. The new relay is different from the original and I need information on how to wire the new part.
1 Answer Hello Buffytech, From my research, it appears that you have the wrong start device for your unit. The only way this wouldn't be true is if the compressor has been changed, in which case, I would need the part number of the replacement compressor to research it for a wiring configuration. The start device that shows for the model number you listed is 12002782, and consists of an individual overload and start relay. Read More...
Robert May 29, 2012 for Model Number MTB2156GEW First I look for the best price on things but that is not always the best item. I have a Maytag Plus, Modle, MTB2156GEW, Serial 11976101ZQ, Rev 11, Refrigerator. The box on the side of the compressor is what is bad, called different things---compressor overload and relay kit. Mine looks different than what you have pictured. Mine has a # 4SP1088 with 02 P01R under that. Question is what is the difference between the following and which one is the correct one for my refrigerator?
1 Answer Hello Robert. Based on the model number you provided, W11285096 is the correct start device. Read More...
