Wayne, it would be recommended that the infinite switch WP3149400 is tested from the yellow wire at H1 to the yellow wire at H2 for 240VAC when the switch is on. If there is proper voltage, the switch would be turned off and the 8" burner WP660533 can be tested for resistance. It should measure 22O and the terminals of the element would need to be inspected for damage. If the element is good, then the receptacle kit 330031 would need to be replaced.

James for Model Number whirlpool slide in range/can't find exact model

I need to replace the front right burner switch. it is not a dual zone. the switch comes with part number 3148954. I ordered online a part that the supplier claimed was comporable. Of course it was not. the piece the dial attaches to was to long. When I look online for the exact part number I do not see it anywhere. I see a lot of listings that claim parts are the same but don't appear to be... other info on switch 10.0-11.5A 240V NL812705 1617410 thanks in advance for any help

James, To properly assist with your question we will have to have the model number of the range. It can normally be found on the frame behind the storage drawer.

Hello Alay, since you have the schematic, use a multimeter and check for 240v coming out of the left front burner's infinite switch if not there its the switch ,if it is coming out check for 240v at the burner next.
