Kyle June 20, 2022 I have an Amana range that had a WP3148953 installed for the front 8 inch burner. I had a couple WP3149400 switches on hand. I see the amp ranges are a little different. Will this be a problem swapping the XX9400 in for the XX8953?

Jeff March 04, 2022 for Model Number G7CE3034XS00 I believe that my infinite switch went bad for my large dual burner. The temperature will not adjust, only goes to high. Can you please confirm the part number for this switch? Is WP9755175 the correct switch for my model? I called a local appliance part store and they told me that WP3149400 was correct, but I think this is for a single burner. Thank you

Wayne March 16, 2021 for Model Number RF365PXYN2 My 8" back burner won't heat up..bought it 2 years ago..how do I know whether it's the burner or the switch that needs replacing?
1 Answer Wayne, it would be recommended that the infinite switch WP3149400 is tested from the yellow wire at H1 to the yellow wire at H2 for 240VAC when the switch is on. If there is proper voltage, the switch would be turned off and the 8" burner WP660533 can be tested for resistance. I cannot find that part in your listing. I am being steered toward a different numbered part. Is that part the correct replacement? I do not want to have to attempt to alter a part to fit. James January 28, 2021 for Model Number whirlpool slide in range/can't find exact model I need to replace the front right burner switch. it is not a dual zone. the switch comes with part number 3148954. I ordered online a part that the supplier claimed was comporable. Of course it was not. the piece the dial attaches to was to long.
