1 Answer Yacell, If the temperature goes to high and you cannot adjust it then this will be an infinite switch that is faulty. The switch for the right rear element will be WPW10411934. Read More...
Wenc July 18, 2022 for Model Number part #infinite switch #3148951 I am ordering an infinite switch for a Whirlpool range the part number on mine is 3148951 has an 8 A 240 v on it. However on your website it says it is replaced by your part #AP6007668. The switch on your website says 6 A 240 V. Will it be safe to replace my switch with the one on your website. Thanks!
1 Answer Wenc, the infinite switch WP3149404 is a manufacturer revised part that replaces the original part number 3148951. However, if the model number could be provided in a new post, this will ensure we could provide the most accurate data regarding what infinite switch would be used with each burner. Read More...

Tony January 07, 2021 for Model Number MER8700DS For some strange reason all 4 of the surface elements all heat up to high and stay there. I know it is the surface switches ( is this the same thing as the infinite switch? i wasn't sure if they were two different things) I need the parts number to all the burners for the stove so I can order them .. Thanks so much.
1 Answer Tony, it would be recommended that the wires going to the surface elements are tested for continuity to ground (after unplugging the range power cord). If there are no grounded wires, then the failure would be in the infinite switches. The left rear WP3149404, right rear WP3149404, left front WPW10434452, and right front WPW10411934 switches would be used with the model provided. The left rear W11171119, right rear W11171119, left front W11517959, and right front WPW10251108 elements are used with this model. Read More...
