Joe G. July 05, 2011 for Model Number 10658023801 Kenmore Water dispenser is not working. I can reach under the panel and push the switch with my finger and it works. I took the plastic piece off that rocks between the cup and switch. Does not look like any part is broken. It will not make contact with the switch. Metal springs also work okay.

1 Answer JJS, your wiring diagram / tech data sheet, is located behing the grille kick plate on the front of the refrigerator, it's usually rolled up like a news paper. Based on your description, sounds like youve got a loose connection on your water dispenser switch or wire harness is damaged ? The Blue/Black wire is power into the switches and cavity light. Water Dispenser was working intermittently for a while but recently not working at all. Switch clicks but no water flow. Replaced the water inlet valve but no change to water dispenser. I measured no voltage at the inlet valve when depressing the water dispenser lever. Are there other possibilities besides just replacing the 2162361 switch?
