Richard October 29, 2012 for Model Number LSQ9549LW2 Washer wont spin on spin cycle. Water will drain. checked pump, motor and motor coupler, all are fine. Checked water level switch and instead of 0.0 ohms, I do get between 0.2-0.4 ohms when testing per instructions I found online. The other part of the circuit showed an open circuit which was fine. Did empty tub, and a full tub of water. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

1 Answer RS, Unfortunately, individual fill valve components for fill valves are not available, You'll need to order and replace the complete fill valve WP8528052 if that is the issue. To test the voltage to the fill valve, you'll need to unplug the power cord, remove the washer cabinet and bypass the lid switch. Disconnect the hot water solenoid wires (brown/red and white) and attach your meter leads to the wire terminals. You'll need to set the water temp selector to hot wash, cold rinse, and set the timer to a wash cycle aand pull out the knob. If the 120 VAC appears on the meter, you'll need the fill valve. Jonathan June 05, 2012 for Model Number 110.26912691 I'm stumped, and so are other people I've talked to....Last week, my Kenmore 90 Series washer (made by Whirlpool) stopped filling prematurely when set on full - it only filled about half to 2/3 full, and started agitating. I decided to replace the pressure switch (original Part Number 3366845). The box for the part that I got (new) has part number W10339326. Inside the box, there is rubber tubing, one hose clamp, and the new pressure switch. The interesting thing is that the new pressure switch has a part # of W10231387 stamped on the underside, which does not cross over to my model washer (at least anywhere that I have looked so far). I connected the switch, and now my washer overflows. If I unplug the washer or push in the timer knob, the water stops filling, so that tells me that the water inlet valve appears to be working as desired. I did NOT install the clamp - the box included no instructions on which end of the hose the clamp should go on - the tub end or the switch end. Do you know? Also, if I blow on the tube going to the water level switch to simulate a full tub, it stops filling and starts the rest of the cycle. If I bypass the switch with a clip leads, it works as desired. I have verified that the tubing is not damaged or cut, and I have also verified that the tube holds pressure by putting a balloon over the end and filling the tub. While it did not inflate the balloon, it did keep it firm with the air pressure from the tub being full. Is it possible I have a bad water level pressure switch that is DOA, even though it is new? According to Whirlpool (I had my supplier call their contact at Whirlpool) the part W10231387 has superseded W10339326 as of March 12, 2012, because W10339326 was no longer available. Also, I have tested this in several different wash cycles, so I don't believe it is the timer. To recap - which end of the tubing does the clamp go on? Do I have a bad pressure switch? What else could be wrong? Thanks!
1 Answer Hi Johnathon. You need to use the clamp on the new hose at the pressure switch part # W10339326. When you install the pressure switch, advance the unit into a spin mode and let it cycle through until it normally stops. Barry May 07, 2012 for Model Number lsq9010pw6 I changed my wl switch and still have a problem with water over filling. It works ok till it gets to rinse then never stops filling, unplugged still fills up but will stop on fill cycle. Thanks for the help.

Tim October 08, 2011 for Model Number 11026882500 When starting a cycle the water starts filling and stops pre maturely. I push the main control switch in and pull out again and it resumes filling. After doing this several times the wash cycle continues as normal.
