Brandon May 12, 2012 for Model Number wfw8300sw04 Is there anything special I have to do when installing this part ? I've installed the new part and its still giving me the same error code. The dispenser motor never moves. I've ran diagnostic test and it won't get past clean washer then gives me error code f-30 could it be a bad part or is there something els wrong?
1 Answer Hi Brandon. It will be advantageous to find the supplied tech sheet inside the cabinet to aid you in the diagnosis. It allows you to put the unit in a diagnostic mode which brings up fault codes and tells you which circuit needs assistance.- F 30 -code. Possible Causes/Procedure - Unplug washer or disconnect power. - Check mechanical linkage from dispenser motor to the top of the dispenser. If the mechanical linkage has any scratches, the mechanical linkage must be replaced. - Make sure that wire harness connections to the dispenser motor and CCU (DI6 cavity) are not broken or with wires detached, and that connector internal pins are visible. - Check continuity from the dispenser motor and CCU (DI6 cavity) connector. - If the continuity diagnosis failed, the Main Harness must be replaced.- Check the resistance of the dispenser motor. See page 8. - Plug in washer or reconnect power. - Verify the unit operation by running the Diagnostic Test cycle. See page 5. - After the diagnostic test has finished, unplug washer or disconnect power and wait for 15 seconds.Dispenser Motor Resistance Test. The approximate resistance in a normal condition=1.4 - 1.6 K-ohms An abnormal condition = INFINITY (open circuit) or zero (shorting circuit); the Dispenser motor must be replaced. The central command unit (main board) is part # WPW10525351. Use a magnifying glass to look at the female contact terminals on the wire harness to the dispenser motor itself. If you need to pry gently on the pins to insure proper tight connections or if the connector lock tab has broken and you are loosing contact, then replace the harness part # WPW10169929. Is the internal nozzles connected to the underside of the motor inside the disp. housing placed there correctly and not binding ? Part # WP8540053. Thank You. Read More...
Dave December 16, 2011 for Model Number wfw8300sw0 Would this part make a whinning noise and give a Sd code if bad or am I possibly looking at a water valve issue?
1 Answer Hello Dave. The Sd code is for suds. You will need to check and make sure the drain pump WPW10730972 is not clogged. If so, you will need to clean out the drain pump filter. If it is clear, and the water drains good, but the code remains, you may have a bad pressure switch W11417619. Hope this helps. Read More...
