Cary Hannon October 31, 2023 for Model Number GD5THGXKS02 Is the replacement cam for the left side door the same as the right hand or is it a different part?
Al April 02, 2022 for Model Number JCB2587WEF00 I have a Jenn air model # JCB2587WEF00 side-by-side fridge and freezer. The fridge door is no longer closing well, and it is due to the Cam-Door parts upper and lower being worn out. The original parts 2307049 (Part #32 on Parts Diagram #1) & 2307048 (Part #12 on Parts Diagram #5) are no longer available it seems. Any recommendation as to which parts I can use as replacement? Thanks for your assistance in finding a solution to this problem. Al
1 Answer Al, unfortunately, as the manufacturer has discontinued the lower cam 2307048 and WP2307049, we would not be able to guarantee that an alternative would fit properly and have the same closing points. Read More...
Steve March 07, 2022 for Model Number KSRS25IHBL02 I replaced both the upper and lower closers on this KitchenAid refrigerator after the door recently stopped closing properly. The door closed properly for a few months, but now stays open again. The fridge is 20 years old and we’ve always kept about 20 cans of soda on the door on two of the 2193409 beverage racks. Lately there has been a bit more weight on the door. Is this too much weight and could it have damaged the closers?
1 Answer Steve, This would most likely be too much weight on the door and it is possible that the cams are damaged. Read More...
Neal September 23, 2021 for Model Number 106.41129210 Kenmore side by side. Hello, I have received upper and lower door cams. I purchased these two parts as recommended. The problem I'm having is when I install these two parts they do not install at 90 degrees. When installed like the original parts, and your video, the cams do not mate. The freezer side which is original shows the proper mating of the cams. on the new install, refrigerator side, the cams are at 45 degrees which cause the door not to work. Any help would be appreciated. I can also send you a picture if you like. Thanks, Neal
1 Answer Neal, the manufacturer indicates that the lower cam for the refrigerator door would only be available as part of the door hinge W11049959. The use of a different cam can potentially cause alignment issues. Read More...
Kathy August 29, 2020 for Model Number ED5PVEXVSOO How do you know if the noise is coming from the upper or lower hinge on doors
1 Answer Kathy, the best way to identify where the noise would be coming from would be to be as close to each part as possible while the noise is occurring. This will allow the identification by verifying where it is loudest. Read More...

Andy Davis August 24, 2017 for Model Number 10659592990 After installation, the door does not close as expected. The low point of the cam is when the door is a little more than 90 degrees from the refrigerator. The installation was uncomplicated, so I don't think I messed anything up there (and can't see what I could have). It's as if the rotational position of the cam is ~100 degrees from where it should be. This is a Kenmore banded fridge if that matters.
1 Answer Andy, There is a second cam that is attached to the door and you will want to make sure that the upper cam is not broken. The door will not close on its own and does have to be pushed to close. Read More...
Jennifer May 29, 2017 for Model Number GS6NBEXL01 I have recently changed both cams on the lower refrigerator door and now the clunking sound is louder and more severe! Not sure why this is happening. When I listen and watch the cams in action as I open and close the door I can tell for sure that it is indeed those parts that are making the noise. Why would replacing those make it worse? Do I need to lubricate them perhaps?
1 Answer Hello Jennifer, You should definitely lubricate the door cams. It is common to use a liquid antibacterial soap for this purpose. A light multipurpose grease such as WP20000030 can also be used. Read More...
