Joe August 24, 2016 for Model Number 106-5770-2701 Freezer side lower grommet is broken. It looks like a water hose and wire cable go thru the grommet. Where do I disconnect hose and wire. Thank you
1 Answer Hello Joe, Remove the toe grille and you will see the wiring harness connector and the water line connector. The water line connector is called a John Guess fitting. To remove the John Guess fitting, push line in and hold ring in, then, while holding ring in, pull line out. To re-install, push line in until resistance is met. Push harder until line "pops" in another 1/4 inch or so. Pull on line without touching the ring to seat seal. Read More...
1 Answer Hello Suzy, Most units have a door stop on the bottom of the door to prevent it from opening too wide. For the specific part number, we would require the model number from the units' I.D. tag. Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter. Read More...
Dawn July 18, 2015 for Model Number ED5LHAXWS07 The door cam you have in the diagram does not look like the one I pulled out of my ED5LHAXWS07. The protruding plastic piece is missing and it sits on a metal bracket. Did I order the wrong part or did the factory use the wrong part?
1 Answer Dawn, The [AP3046922) door cam, mounts to the bottom of the refrigerator door. It sounds like you needed the door closer cam WPW10329686, which mounts to the lower door hinge W10251408 (metal bracket). You may want to consider the 4318165 cam closer kit, so you can repair both doors if needed. Read More...
Dennis May 25, 2015 for Model Number MSD2242VEU00 Refrigerator door will not close properly and sits abut 1/2"+ lower than freezer door. I think I need to replace the cam on the bottom. Should I replace both the lower and top cams. What parts do I need?
Doug M March 22, 2015 for Model Number Kitchen Aid M# ksrs25fgbt02 My refrigerator doesn't close automatically and it is about 1/4 inch below the freezer door. I'm guessing I need to replace the door cam, as it looks like it has been grinding down by the little pieces of "dirt" just below it. It looked like there were two pieces involved, if so, what part(s) do I need to order to correct the problem? Thank you for your assistance!
1 Answer Doug, For the door cam you will need the lower cam part number WPW10329686 and the upper cam part number WP2182179. Read More...

Sm June 16, 2014 for Model Number Kenmore 106.5894*800 My right hand side door (fresh food) is not closing properly. It seems like there is no suction between gasket and metal part. The door is also hanging 1/2 inch lower than freezer door which is opposite on what it shows on manual, do you think replacing door cam both upper and lower will help if so which part do i need? Appreciate your help, SM
1 Answer SM, First check and make sure the refrigerator is level, and all four feet and rollers are on solid flooring. Replacing the upper spacers or thimbles won't make a difference, but the lower cam and closer WP2182179 WPW10329686 may compensate for 1/4 inch or so. You'll also need to remove the kickplate and check the door hinge W10138965 for being bent and or the mounting screws being loose. Check the door gasket especially in the lower corner to see if the edges have rolled over or are damaged. If Ok, wash the gaskets with hot soapy water, then apply a thin coat of "Vaseline" to the gasket surfaces to keep them soft and pliable. Read More...
